Reading Broadway?

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

Reading Broadway?

Post by Elveen »

So I have just about all of the the common Broadway books.

does any one have a suggestion on the best order of reading.

I do like to read an entire run (unless it is a Unity type crossover).

So do I start with Fatale? Or Shadow State?

Any suggestions? Thanks. :D

Start with Powers that Be #1, both Star Seed and Fatale start there first. Powers That Be later becomes Star Seed once Fatale gets her own book.

Actually it was a bit later (right at the end) when the name change happened but you're right on the money on reading order.

For Fatale, she has back up stories in Powers That Be 1, then in Shadow State 1 and 2 (I'm going off memory, correct me if I'm wrong) and then goes into her own series.

I'd probably read all Fatale's stories in order and all Star Seeds' stories in order, ect. Probably start with the Star Seed stories. There's very subtle connections to villains in Star Seed and those in Knights on Broadway and Fatale. If you've read Powers That Be/Star Seed first and are on the look out, for them you might spot them

If you feel befuddled during the reading of this DU, dont worry... I had the same thing. No history to go on, characters I knew nothing about and developing storylines that seemed not to make sense but if the series had been around longer might have panned out into something very nice. At least the art is A LOT better than Defiant. I'll give it that. :thumb:

Star Seed was an interesting read; I think I've got the scripts for the future issues around here somewhere.

There's a script for the next issue after the series was canceled that a lot of online fans have. If you have any scripts past that one issue, let me know, I'd love to see.

Start with Babes of Broadway. I'm talking 100% Grade A literature right there.
