I would more than happily throw a massive ebay auction together myself and donate all the proceeds to VEI like yesterday.

HMMMMMM !!

got me thinking here.
Last time I looked, a comic company wasn't a non-profit organization. I'd prefer to see them go get a loan or whatever like any other company rather than relying on charity from their prospective customers.

Very true.

I just wanted all parties involved to know that their prospective customers care that little bit extra :D

A bunch of ebay auctions wouldn't even dent their investment anyway. They have to make the properties recognizable and marketable somehow to start making money (through probably some other means than comics).

I concur. All of us buying the Harbinger HC was an act of charity as we already own the material.

What about taking the company public? Put it up on the stock exchange and let us all invest a bit. If they went that route and allowed public investment, I'd buy $1k of VALIANT stock :thumb:

BUT....

Then DNV might be in a similar situation as some of the previous owners where they might feel that making a ton of cash may be more important that making good books.. and we all know that although those 2 things sound the same, they sometimes arent.

Interesting dilemma...

But it would be VERY cool to be able to say, "Yeah, I own some of VALIANT!"

Private is better for the owners, look what happens to stock owned companies all the time pushing for profits over better situations for their companies.

WHAT is used by permisison? I can't make it out. It basically says that the Turok TM and (R) is co-owned by Classic Media Inc and someone else, but I can't make out who. It's like three words long.
It's Entertainment Rights Group Company.

So there was no connection with VEI and an animted movie then?

The Turok animated movie looks good though.

We don't know for sure yet. All we can infer by the use of Chichak and the Lost Land (in place of Lost Valley) is that either whoever owns Turok now acquiered those terms or they belong to VEI.

I'm not sure why but I laughed for about 10 seconds after reading that.
