I think, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, that she was reacting to Aric's battle against the Harbinger kids depicted in X-0 #4.

I don't think so. That battle took place long before Shadowman #1.

I think it's what I said, that Darque pulled her away before she killed Jack.

I read Shadowman #0 the other day and this is what it says it happened.

Lydia seduced Jack ignoring that the Spider Aliens had made a deal with Darque for her to poison Jack in exchange of sanctuary in New Orleans.

Lydia was ready to kill Jack, but then the Spider Aliens interveneed and took her away.

All the while, Darque and his sister watched what happened from a balcony one floor above Lydia's apartment

Got it, they're a day apart.

Even so, the above is what happened in the issue, so X-O and the Harbingers had nothing to do with it
