Post Unity books are less then 0.25 per copy so let me show you what people like me see when looking at this lot:
No disrespect because these are your comics and you can sell them for whatever price you'd like. No one on this board can take that away from you. But hopefully now you see what we see as collectors.
There are chances that an eBay sell will net you more $$ but they also charge posting $$ and sell $$ along with a percentage of the paypal transaction.
Now the Unity books are probably $1? As for the pre Unity books, the most expensive of these are being sold for $7 on these very forums. So lets say that the average is $3 and these are all NM to NM+ copies. So (44 Pre-Unity * $3 = $132) + (12 Post Unity books at $1 = $12)) = $144. That's the absolute highest price I'd paid for your lot assuming they are the mintiest copies I've ever did see (CGC would slab them at 9.6 and 9.8).Stinger wrote: Eternal Warrior 1,2

I have it at $239. So a bit more a bit less.
Most likely less because I am guessing that the book are not all NM. (and I gave higher prices on most of these) There is a huge difference between a NM harby #1 and one with a few dings. The same goes for Soalr #10 and Rai #3, and Mag #1, and XO #1........

Hey, your the expert here. I'd rather take my chances with ckb at a friendly haggled discount and spot on gradding then pay full price for questionable merchandise. I read most of the posts here and I update the listing and price. I calculated only the value in Pre-Unity, it's around $345. I would ask for $300 just to give a package discount with free shipping.
That's like free post unity comics including three pink xo #15 and free shipping for what you pay on my entire pre-unity collection.
Is that more reasonable value than ridiculous $150?

I know you love your Valiant comics and all. And I know individual sales are better than a buck each, but as a lot especially you will not get a better deal than $150. Go ahead and sell them on ebay, but after ebay and paypal fees you will not see more than $150. Personnally I would not drop anything over $100 on them, so $150 is a great bid.

I did not say I was an expert. I was just stating my opinion.
And I mentioned the concern about condition in my post. I was just discussing this topic.
I just thought that your average value of the books was low, that is it.
I am not buying these books, I don't have the $$$$.

$150 is far more reasonable than $500, in relative terms.
You have an overinflated sense of worth for your comics. You think your comics are worth more than they really are, at this time. I do not know if this is because you genuinely BELIEVE they are worth this much, or if you think that there are suckers on the board.
Believe me, 10 years ago, you wouldn't have gotten 10% of your initial asking price.
If I were to offer to sell you an ounce of gold for $1600, would you think that was a reasonable price? Or would you investigate first and find out what gold is selling for?
And if you would investigate first, why then are you pooh-poohing everyone else for doing the same?
Like everyone has said, if you think the offers are unreasonable, sell them on eBay and make more....

Take it from someone who recently sold a bunch of 9.2-9.4-9.6 pre-Unity Valiants...CKB's offer is fair and he is a pro so you will have your quick, clean exit.
If what you really want is to get the absolute most $$$ you can squeeze out of them, the only way to do it is to break up the lot into runs and use eBay.

In a perfect world, you might find someone here who needs all those books and be willing to fork over $300. However, the possibility of that is pretty slim as we already have most of those books in our collections. To get the most out of your books, you gotta break them down into smaller lots or by individual issues and grade them preferably by CGC standards. Of course this will involve more work. However, if you don't wanna go through all that, then your only choice is to consider whatever offer is thrown for it.
