Here's the re-list... notice the line in the auction: "** Please Note: Due to me adding " HUE" to make the pictures brighter, it turned 1,3 and 4 purplish but they are actually blue. These are not " Restored " at all. Thank You"
I e-mailed the seller and asked why the costume of Superman didn't change to purple as well, and this is the reply I got, C&P for posterity-

Does anyone else see this bit of information updated in the auction? I know I sure don't.....antique sweetie wrote:Because I was dumb to comics.I did unbox the books and those 3 are indeed purple with a 4.5 grade I believe it was. 3 are blue and the others not graded.I should have researched it more.If you would like a pic of all books seperatedly, send me your email.Thank you and Merry Christmas.

This auction has so many red flags. He ended it early and sold the books for $12,600. Shipping price. So many warnings. So many fools with too much money.
btw my pride and joy is my copy of Superman #7. It would be in vf condition except that the staples have rusted away and left holes in the paper where they used to be.
I think about restoring it, but I hate, hate, hate restoration. And I only got it for $1 so I can't complain

Scam, 100%....these aren't their books. They "lightened" the pics because they are attempting to HIDE details.slym2none wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0191402480

What a total *SQUEE*.
DOES ANYONE OUT THERE REALIZE THAT THIS IS WHY I HAVE SO MANY EFFING ISSUES WITH IDIOT MORON SELLERS ON EBAY???
"These are MINT condition!"
#11 is a CGC 7.5 (looks like Universal)
"Grade: CGC: 10-9.8 Overstreet: 100-98. MT"
#11 is a CGC 7.5
"No Restoration - Have been well taken care of."
#1, 3, and 4 are CLEARLY in RESTORED cases, and are CLEARLY not "CGC 9.8-10."
And this is an OBVIOUS scam...what about the HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of auctions that are NOT QUITE AS OBVIOUS?
I'm telling you....I'm THIS close from just calling everything I own "MINT CONDITION!!!", whether it's Fair, VG, VF, or NM, and then offering a "no questions asked" return policy....but, of course, making the buyer foot the shipping bills both ways.
I was going over old stuff last night, and it is FRIGHTENING how much money I've lost on sellers overgrading. FRIGHTENING. We're talking THOUSANDS of dollars. Oh yeah, that's Near Mint, ALL THE WAY! Ok, here's my $150. Oops, it's actually a Fine. Too bad, so sad!
