Maybe I'm crazy, but this looks a little like there is a John Byrne influence for these?

I think MAC has mentioned a few times in the past that Byrne was an influence. He also does a good job modeling his style on other artists when the need arises. I saw some pages in his portfolio that looked absolutely Kirby-ish, which is about as high of a compliment as I can think of.

Thats a great point Brother J, i consider myself an illustrator who draws comics as opposed to most comic guys who just draw comics. And yes when the need arises I try to show flexibility in my "style".

I just read all 55 pages in one sitting. Had to copy the properties of some of the images into a separate browser window, but WELL worth it.
WOW! I'm sad that I missed these as they were happening.
Hokey smokes! That's a lot of eye candy!

I had the same experience about 3-4 pages ago so I totally understand how mind-boggling it is to see all these beauties at one time.

Anthony,
I was talking to some buds on the CGC Boards about ASM 122 and showed them the cover recreation you did on the 122 and the prelim sketch for the 121. Your work blew them away. They loved your Goblin and they think your 121 will be much better than the original. [I do too
