Wow, those last two kind of make the close to $20 golds seem like a good deal.

Man, it's a good thing I don't really have money to spend on comics right now. Otherwise I'd feel really dumb trying to pick up some of the golds I still need for my full run.

Non comic related but I just got a video game in the mail today off ebay. By far the worst auction I have had to deal with yet. Took almost 2 weeks to get it after paying for it. She charged 6.50 for shipping when the label I am looking at says 2.32. She wrapped in gift wrap and sent it out. I don't want to leave a negative but I am really tempted. Going to send the seller a message first.

was anything damaged ? or was the game not new ?

It says in the auction that she ships on Fridays only and you won this on a Friday, So that's 7 days right there until it was probably even mailed out to you. The postage was stated in the auction so I really don't have a problem with that . .most bidders will factor that into their final bid . . .

If there were no major problems with the game or packaging I would leave a positive . . .

shipping is a killer but, sometimes a little extra is justified just not double or more :!: :!:

http://cgi.ebay.com/BATMAN-102_W0QQitem ... dZViewItem

I'm exhausted after reading the description.

The seller could use a period.

Puns intended.

And that book is not worth a minimum of $12.50.

Oy.

This is auction is brilliant

http://cgi.ebay.com/Valiant-Unity-Compl ... dZViewItem

$25 starting bid for a Unity set. $50 bin. and then this quote from the auctions description
It is priced, not to sell, but for the real hardcore collector.

I would think the "real hardcore collector" would know he could get the books cheaper.

Yet another overgraded book on eBay. Shock.

The book, at the very least, is a Fine. There's a 1/4" tear on the bottom edge, near the right corner, and fairly heavy wear on the left corner up the spine.

Not even close to the "VF" grade given.

Sigh.

What's even more insulting?

"THE RESERVE PRICE ON ALL THE KEY SILVER/GOLDEN AGE and OTHER SUPER COMICS IS SET AT ONE/THIRD OF THE VALUE AT GRADE!!!"

So, we're already at the normal ending price of most non-super keys, when graded correctly....but since it's overgraded, the reserve is set at FULL GUIDE for it's actual grade....

...and that's assuming it's not WORSE than a Fine....

A shame...these all came as fine to vf cond. Nearly every book in the lot had at least 2-3 heavy, color breaking creases in the spine and some had the gloss scratched off already (most like due to storing them without any bags). Modern books in fine condition? Worthless. Even at the .88 per book I paid that was way to much. He will refund my money, but of course I have to pay the return ship. :!:
