Sojurn and Crossgen
Hey Dead Uni dudes.
I am looking to collect the Sojurn run next, and I have a few questions I would like to ask you.
1) About how much should/do these cost?
2) Are they as good as #0 and #1 all the way through?
Now Crossgen general quesiton.....
I've read Ruse 1-13, and loved it.
I have a few other #1s, I've read the begining of Mystic (and liked it), so...
What other books are good. There is alot of Crossgen. So where should I begin (I think I asked htis before, but I don't remember.)

My favorite when I had these was Scion (Very Sci Fi outer space action adventure) Liked The First(God Like Beings of the Crossgen Universe ) and Scion (Sword & Sorcery type stuff) Really disappointed in the fact they didn't wrap up the Negation War though (Thats what made me trade away this DU) But up till then great reads and awesome art work through and through IMO
But be prepared to not get that conclusion you might be looking for in the end (Just a heads up)

Sojourn is one that is actually tough to find in the bargain bins. I thought I would be able to put together a run on the cheap when I came across a bunch of them in a .50 box, but I haven't seen many in the cheap boxes since. At this point, I would happily pay $1 each for the issues I need, and if I get desparate, might go up to $2 each. It's a pretty good book, I'm looking forward to getting the rest so I can finish reading them.

I would recommend Negation, great story and art throughout the series, but I agree with tictuc, it sucked that they didn't finish the Negation War. Sojourn was also a great book, but the story lost steam for me after Marz left after issue 24. After that, I loved El Cazador, although it didn't last long before Crossgen went under.

It doesn't happen very often as people still really prize Sojourn #1, but it does happen!Elveen wrote:tssgery wrote:I picked up a complete run of Sojourn off the 'bay for about 50 cents an issue.
If you're willing to wait for a good deal, they can be found. If not, Issues 0, 1, and 2 will be in the $2-$3 range. All the others should be a buck or less.
That is what I am hoping for.

Singles? About a buck except for the first few issues which will cost a little more. The whole set you can probably get on Ebay though for about $40, which isn't a bad price for a complete Crossgen set. Keep in mind that Crossgen used high quality, glossy paper.Elveen wrote: Hey Dead Uni dudes.

Absolutely. It's a VERY good seriesElveen wrote:2) Are they as good as #0 and #1 all the way through?
And that's about a good place to quit reading that book. After Waid left, the book turned awful.Elveen wrote: Now Crossgen general quesiton.....

My favorite Crossgen title was Negation. FANTASTIC writing, sweet looking artwork and a great concept. Scion was good too.Elveen wrote:I have a few other #1s, I've read the begining of Mystic (and liked it), so...
