my collection of Original Art is now online!

Post by BrettC »

OK, I admit, I don't have a big collection of original art. But I wanted to put it online to share with all who are interested.

Link:

This is my first attempt at this, so please let me know if the images are too large, too slow loading, too grainy, etc.

Thanks for looking!

Brett

Nice domain name.

There good, maybe a bit too varying in size, but that goes with the format, which I like. You've made it more personal the way you're posting them.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Collecting & looking at this art has been one of the most enjoyable comic book experiences I have had in many years.

I just added some personal commentary on each piece. I have a few new pieces on the way & I will update the site as I receive them.

I hope you guys won't mind if I share my new pieces here... even if they are not Valiant. I have found the regulars on this board to be more supportive & positive than any other comic forum.

Thanks for sharing the fun with me!

Warmly,

Brett

I definitely agree with this statement. I am currently awaiting the arrival of a Tim Sale piece that I paid $1k for & an unpublished spider-man page that I paid $20 for. I am anxious to receive both. Both are beautiful in their own way.

Your statement is also true about life in general. I often find myself "trying" to like things that other people enjoy. Or feeling silly for liking unappreciated things.

This board is devoted to a comic book universe that has been essentially dead for over a decade. Valiant fans are independent thinkers. The majority of current comic fans could care less about Valiant, but the regulars on this board continue to discuss & share excitement about these characters. There's no marketing machine pushing the fandom on this board... it is true love, with very little external influence.

I think this is the reason the people on this board are so supportive of each other.

Warmly,

Brett

Amazing stuff! This guy has an incredible collection & he has clearly been at it a while. It puts my collection to shame, but I am still happy to have the pieces I have.

Thanks for sharing this link.

Thanks for the encouragement! It's a beautiful page, & I am enjoying having it. My pockets certainly aren't as deep as this collector, but I am very happy with what I have.
