Playing Bioshock right now (I've got to get some easy points... depluto is too close for comfort and he's got sports games lined up!!!). Good game! Fun and atmospheric. The game basically walks you through itself (gives you hints, direction arrow, etc.). Love the little hacking mini-games.
I really like the feel of the game... just finished reading The Fountainhead and in the middle of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand... it's like one of the heroes from those novels went insane... developers must have read through at least one of her novels as they've got a lot of the themes in their story...

GOOD choice in games, I let my buddy borrow it for two weeks and finally took to Jonesing for it so bad, I call him in off work to bring it back to me. Played through Halo 3 a few times on legendary and playing a bunch online with peeps as well.
also picked up Enemy Territory: Quake Wars for the PC, what an awesome game!
still trying to finish Free Mode on Picross DS before I start Zelda Phantom Hourglass. Halfway through Level 9 so far these 25X20 puzzles take about 30 mins each

The only thing that is pretty neat is the cinematic combat feature, noone else has it. Once you beat it however it is kinda boring, not much replay value. If I would have know you were intereseted I would have sent you mine.Dr. Solar wrote:I just picked up Star Wars: Empire At War on a whim and have been playing here and there. It's alright, but not spectacular.
I played about 5 hours of Resistance: Fall of Man last night... I have had the game for a month or so and the first level was KICKING my *SQUEE*, so I said 'screw it, the game MUST suck'. So, I left it alone. Well it just took me getting through the first part (I guess I was expecting more from the game) and now I am jamming. VERY good story, damn good graphics for only 720p, and just enjoyable. I like how the STORY is being told (hard to describe) and the playability, easy button control system once you get used to it. I just had fun... I WAS going to pull out Heavenly Sword but I am stuck on a boss right now and sometimes trying to beat that boss makes the game unbearable and it is best just to walk away from it for a while.
I also played Gears of War and am at the last boss. I know how to kick his *SQUEE* but I don't have the patience at the moment. I was going to finish it and trade that and Overlord (which I have really not played all that much) and turn them in at EB Games to get credit because I want to pick up Jerico and Conan for the 360 later this month but I really have to pull back and PLAY THE DAMN GAMES THAT I ALREADY HAVE. For the love of God, I am so stupid that way. It is like, I collect games with no intent on finishing some or even playing others (like the Splinter Cell: Double Agent that I have not even put in the 360 yet
). Besides, with my birthday coming up next month (on the 11th of November in case anyone feels like sending me a present for my birthday... I mean ya know, if the feelng just grabs ya and you feel like making me very happy and appreciated in this wonderful world that we live in
) I am pretty sure that I will be getting Jerico (game scares the crap outta me) from my brother in law.
ummm I have Halo 3 to play and I have Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat reserved for next month and to top all of this off, until Dec I will be going on two business trips being gone for at least a total of 3 weeks.
Damn job anyways... making me be away from my beloved 360, PS3 and HDT... I mean my beloved family.

A couple of words of advice. For Gears of War and Halo 3 it definitely helps to have someone playing with you. Especially on the FB for Gears of War, the NPC AI is utterly useless. If you are playing Heroic or Legendary on H3 it also helps to have abuddy tagging along with you. I played Legendary by myself and with Etos and I prefer to have someone with skill that is actually helping, the arbiter's AI is not great in H3.Knightt wrote:I played about 5 hours of Resistance: Fall of Man last night... I am thinking of getting this as well and DLed the demo for the 360 AND the PS3. Both were the same in quality and movement, but I did not notice any sluggishness. I can wait on this one. Has anyone played the demo for Timeshift ? LOOKS GREAT, you can slow down or reverse time, speed it up whatever you want. One great example of this being a usefull tool, in the demo I slowed down time, raced up to the guy shooting me, took his weapon, blew his buddies away and then had time to carefully aim, wait for the timeshift to stop so that I 'magically' appear in front of him just in time to go 'huh ?' and then I blow his brains out. whoo hoo... life is good.cobra_commander wrote:yeah it does look pretty good but i played the demo on 360...its REALLY sluggish. rent it first or something*SQUEE* wrote:Gonna pick up Conan this week.
