How do you track your collection?
I use "Realms Of Wonder" to track my comic collection, and have found it to be wonderful, but I have to wonder... Is there a better way?
How do other people track their collections? Or do they?

I use excel spread sheets to keep track of my collection.
RE Space: My wife lets me have a room upstairs for my comics, toys, and posters. She is very understanding of my addiction to this stuff and tolerates it pretty well(over 15,000 comics and counting)!!

When I last talked to my insurance agent regarding my collection, he said to keep an inventory and that's all that would be needed. My collection, at the time, was only worth a few thousand dollars so he said I didn't need additional coverage.
So, I started keeping track of the books with software and I take digital pictures of the valuable ones...
Hopefully, I'll never need them. It'll be next to impossible to rebuild the collection.

My collection has been insured for three years by www.collectinsure.comarchitect wrote:So with all of this said, has anyone tried to insure their addictions. If so, what needs to be done with ones collection to have it insured.
thanks in advance,

No need for itemized lists... just a coverage amount.
(Single items over $5,000 have to be itemized, but I don't have any of those.)
The insurance is underwritten by The Hartford Group.
$100 a year buys some "peace of mind" for me...
Homeowners policies usually have limits, so it's important to know what those are.
