Hello Everyone,
This is my first time posting here. I used to check out the site all the time but the forum wasn't around when I last visited. I recently met CBK at a local convention in New York and he told me about the new forum and invited me to check it out..So here I am!
My first Valiant comic was X-O Manowar #10. The cover is what drew me in. It reminded me of the opening logo of a horror television show called "Chiller Theater" Anyone else remember that? So as you may have guessed based on that being my first Valiant book, the pre-Unity stuff was already very expensive and I paid through the nose to finish my library. Then of course the books plummeted in value shortly after I bought them. Do I care? Not a bit. I have each and every one to this day and they are worth every penny I paid for them merely for the enjoyment factor.
I have a copy of every regular book published up until the end (excluding retailer premiums) and they are still among my favorite books. I much prefer the older stuff, but I enjoy the collection as a whole. X-O Manowar remains my favorite of all of the Valiant titles.
Greg, thank you for creating this site. It's one of the best comic centered sites on the web. This community looks like it's a lot of fun and I'm glad to be aboard. I look forward to getting to know all of you.
My best,
Nemo
