What's in your "To Be Sorted" stack?
I don't know about you guys, but after a big day of hitting up LCSes or conventions, I don't generally get all my books rebagged and put in the propper box right away. Generally, the less important issues sit around for a while, waiting to be processed. Do you guys have piles like these? If so, what's in them?
Mine:
Uncanny X-Men #148
New Teen Titans (1st series) 7-11, plus two drug awareness give-aways
New Teen Titans (2nd series) 6
Real Ghostbusters #4
Further Adventures of Indiana Jones #1
Chaos Effect Alpha
Infinity Gauntlet 1-2
Transformers (1st series) 1 (2 copies), 5
Shadowman 4
Psi Force (New Universe) 1-5
Most of these were found in bargain bins. A few were lesser issues ordered from MHC to hit the free shipping quota. The New Teen Titans drug awareness issues were the best, though. Absolute fifth rate work by the regular creative team

I don't have an "unsorted" pile per se - it's more of an "unlogged" pile. I purchase the books, read them, set them on my computer desk, and then put off logging them in my inventory for a few days. So, in keeping with the theme - here are my "unlogged" books - all from a purchase at Half Price Books on Friday.
Darkness: Infinity
(One shot, and since it was a quarter, it was a palatable purchase.)
X-O Manowar #17, #18, #48, & #68
(This was sold as a lot of 4, and I only purchased it because my copy of #68 met a sad demise a few months ago. This restores my X-O run to complete.)
Predator vs. Magnus Robot Fighter TPB
(Found this for a $1. $1~! This completes my Magnus run... )
Warriors Of Plasm #1, #7, #8, #10
(Again a lot of 4 books, this is the most pristine version of #8 that I had even seen... the book feels CRISP, as if I pulled it right from the printer's stack...)
Dark Dominion #1, #3, #6, #7
(This lot of 4 bought solely for a GOOD copy of DD #7, which when coupled with the WoP purchase above completes my run of ALL Defiant books.)
Spitfire (aka Spitfire & The Troubleshooters) #4, #5, #6, #7, #9, #10, #12, #13
(This finished my second run of all the New Universe books. YAY!)
Legends Of The DC Universe #1, #4, #5, #7
(I'll be honest - it's the Glen Orbik cover paintings that made me buy this series to begin with, and I always buy extras when I see them on the cheap just in case I ever need to tear a cover off for reference material.)
Add to that my stack from my LCS this Wednesday:
Swamp Thing #10
The Darkness #17
Outsiders #18
GI Joe vs. Transformers II #4
The Question #2
Deadshot #1
...and my second copy of Powers #6 (first one lost in a horrible taping accident *shudder*) makes for one very cluttered desk.
In fact, I'd better stop writing ABOUT logging the books and start logging them before my wife notices!

Well, currently on my desk I have about 165 assorted independant books that need a new home, comico, first, that kind of stuff. I also have a pile of about 175 pre unity books that need to be put away and inventoried with the Greg system when I have time to work another long box into the VALIANT shelf.

I have about five hundred comics that are waiting to be processed. Which boils down to bagging and boarding them with cheap bags and boards or with Mylar bags and 4 mil Acid-free buffered Full back backing boards.
Comics valued at $20 or more and hard-to find issues in NM/MT condition are pulled out first to get the best treatment.I am sorting through a long box from a shop that had an 80% off back-issue sale. I picked up some really nice Silver age Incredble Hulk, Conan,Thor, Justice League of America ,and some Bronze-age X-men in VF or Better condition for .20 cents on the dollar. Not to shabby.

I bought several old Overstreet Price Guides from someonedino wrote:what's the sketch from greg?
on the CGC message boards and this little sketch came with them for free!
Evidently, the guy had met Art Nichols years ago and had him
do a sketch in his "autograph book".
He figured I would enjoy it, so he cut it off the page and sent it to me!
Needless to say, I appreciate it very much!

Yes, it's a Turok #1 VVSS and I'm sure I paid less than $10 for it (including shipping).DawgPhan wrote:I am only hoping that is a VVSS Turok #1 under the MRF VcVSS..I hope that greg isnt in the market for more turok #1's...if so...I think that I might have a few for you...
So, I'm probably in the market for VVSS books under $10.
