Wow! We were just talking about this.

Wow!

And if that was your BEST deal. What were the good deals?

Good for you Hulkster!

"SO WHAT YOU GONNA DO WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU! OH...YEAH!"
  Where are all the little Hulk-a-maniacs these days ? Popping 'roids?

Thanks Elv, it was a very enjoyable day and finding good comics always helps. Picked up a nice recent run of Thunderbolts at 50 cents each.

Valiant wise, one guy had Rai 3 & 4 on his wall. I asked the price figuring I'd pass once he said $20-$30, but @ $6.00 ea. I ended up taking them off his hands :D Sweet condition too...solid 9.6 range.

Also several pre-unities and a couple last issues $2.00 ea. The highlight of these was the Solar 1 signed by Layton and Perlin & the Solar 10 first print also with a Perlin sig.

Then I had the privilege to meet up with Rufus and tried to scare him re: the severity of his first winter in this area :P

Fought thru the baseball crowd Sunday to make it to the show. Picked up a nice set of Magnus Robot Fighter #2-#7 with coupons for $2 each. Not a big score but I needed them since I sold a full run a few years ago.

Most dealers had the same crappy modern books for $1. Makes me reconsider a monthly pull list. You only get a measly 20% off cover price. Will pick up modern comics from Conventions in the future.

Alot of key back issues were either in VG/F range and or they were overpriced CGC slabs. Two pet peeves of mine. I passed up tons of modern variants. $10-$15 variants will be selling for cover price soon enough since LCS are overflowing with them.

I was glad to pick up a Black Panther vol.2 #23, World War Hulk Aspen Variant (I like this one better than the Romita variants..just my humble opinion), and a Thunderbolts #110 Venom variant.

Nice guest line-up but lines were long...as usual.

I came to the show on the spur of the moment so I hate that I didnt get to meet any board members. Maybe next year we can meet at a board member's booth if they set up.

I saw a total of 8 of the vip 'trashcan' s hanging up on exhibitors 'walls'. Makes me question the 100 count print run.

I also got to see a bunch of valiant pengies that Sean Chen had on his table. :thumb: He had a bunch of other non-valiant pengies too. We briefly discussed the upcoming November con and the limited edition pengie that will be offered there! :D ...but Sean was able to resist my persuasive interrogation techniques... ....I don't know what it is.
