Good call.Brother J wrote:I don't see the Diamond Unity trades or Solar hardcover in there, either.
I mean don't get me wrong...it's a nice auction/collection, but the person would maximize their profits if they broke it up.
Especially if they sell all the vvss in one lot.
And they're really limiting their potential buyers with an auction like this . Not to many people can afford this.

This is from the same guy that was giving several of our fellow board members a run for their money on different VALIANT auctions in the past few months.
He paid heavy premiums for a lot of these books; now we know why.
I'd agree that he'd make more if he broke up the collection and sold it: but he paid out the anus for some of this stuff so I'm wondering if he's actually make a profit from this or not.

Well, this gives the key to my problem: I will keep all my stuff to become the premium happy french owner of multiple valiant titles. Shipping is so cheap in the USA and so expensive here for the States. Can't blame any of the US collectors for wanting decent prices...Second_Death wrote:$4.50 for shipping all of that? Nice.

Beautiful auction, beautifully presented, and with very competitive shipping price!!

It's missing a LOT more than that. No Bloodshot plat, some TPB's and the Solar HC. Not to mention any of the VH2 stuff.Rufusharley wrote:The only things it's missing are the vvss, and the $2.50 variants.
What gets me is the guy lists the auction as EVERY valiant issue and then puts a note in the bottom of the description that essentially says "BTW, I also have the vvss issues but I'm selling them seperately".

Exactly, this auction is very misleading and I sent the guy an e-mail letting him know it. It's cool that he's put this set together, but I think he might be setting himself up for a big headache if the winner says afterwards "hey, where's the Unity Diamond TPB's, Solar HC and Bloodshot plat?".Daniel Jackson wrote:If it says "everything"and "every issue" in the title, then he should sell everything in the auction. Not list certain books in other auctions.

It should just be common sense when you list something as "complete", "every issue" & "everything" to mean what it says. I mean, how hard is it to just put "almost" or "nearly" in the title?

I have never known an auction to do that - jump that is by over $500.00. One usually gets the standard "(RESERVE NOT MET)" msg irrelevant of amount until the current bid has been incremented above the reserve.ckb wrote:I think the price jumped because it met reserve with the first bid.
Just wondering...
