All right, it's time for another show that I can't get to.

Joe Kubert is going to attend Baltimore, I've contacted him about a commission/sketch, but he says he only does them at shows. Here's the deal: I want a Sgt. Rock sketch, a head sketch is more than fine. I'll cover his fees (duh), postage, and throw in a "finder's fee" if someone will get a sketch for me.

Please let me know if you can help!

Can somebody get Joe Kubert to draw a sketch of a GI Joe for me? Talk to me---- I'll give you an awesome price on top of what the fee is. :thumb:

But only after medicar has got someone to get something for him first. :thumb:

alright, i picked up a few valiants, nothing special really.

But the highlight for me was meeting and getting the sigs of: Jim Calafiore, Bernard Chang, Sean Chen, ...and... Jim Shooter! I got them all to sign the cover of Rai #1.

I also meet Joe Kubert, and Walter Simonson :thumb:

I also got to meet and hang out with hulk181man,...a cool dude! :thumb:

Likewise, Rufus -- Hopefully we can do it again next year.
And that is a very neat Rai # 1 you put together.:thumb: :thumb:

That con took a lot out of me (I really can't imagine the scope of the San Diego con) but some good Valiant deals are still to be found. Keep checking those conventions.

Today's best deal: Shadowman Special Edition (full size version) $1.00

Went back today. They had an hour long Panel about, and with, Jim Shooter. Very cool. He told a lot of interesting and funny stories. And yes... he's a ginormous dude! He's got to be like 6' 6.

and Jim Lee was there signing. But the line would have been like 2.5 hours long! I'm a fan but that's crazy. I only wanted one thing signed, Hard Corps #1. Other people had stacks and stacks of stuff.

I've never really understood that, why not one or two or five at the absolute most?

That's quite a generous offer from a ROI perspective. I'd hate to see the offer if you didn't like me

I needed it so it was a very cool find, I've located a few Ashcan versions in the past but never a full size version.
Finding it was definitely one of those double-take moments :thumb:
