Yes and it's a little tight but hell everythings tight when ya got pythons like these lol. Seriously though, I love the shirt.

It's nice to score some on the cheap to offset the googles of cash spent on Ebay.

Whet, I'll be happy to send you the Unity Chapters as your cut  :P

The two of the best purchases of my life have been my Sonicare Toothbrush (hence white teeth) and Cali King Tempurpedic Bed. I'd be a wreck without them.

We have another convention comming up in Feburary at the Seahawks convention center which will definitely be bigger, time will tell if it's going to be better.

While not Valiant books, this is still a good deal...

I was just at a local sports card show, and there were 4 vendors with comic books. One of them had a ton of Amazing Spider-Mans for a good price. I picked up copies of

ASM 301-328, 344,345,361-363 (plus a few other 300s for $1 each).

I am kicking myself now, he also had about 50 assorted ASM in the 200s for $2 each... and I passed on them. Why, I have no idea. It was a moment of stupidity.

Thought this was a good deal yesterday (well maybe not a deal) and a good buy based on what the market has been for this book, I guess we'll see what the future holds.

I figured these were worth $3 or $4 each at least, a good deal at .62 a piece, what do you guys think?

Condition isn't the best but I think the price was right. Nice! Two thumbs up.

Awhile back I bought a lot of 10,000. books from a wholesaler in Pennsylvania. I gambled $400. and took my open trailer and drove up to avoid any shipping costs. After about three days of sleepless sorting, I had about 7 boxes of Valiants w/ loads of golds and # 1's and last issues. And while I realize it's a tad off topic, I also cobbled together about 25 runs of "Lone Wolf and Cub #1 - 15. 25 #1's, 25 #2's etc. (The books are stashed, so forgive me some fuzziness!) I've Checked Ebay. Have you all heard of a market for these books? I saw them mentioned in a recent post here.

$400 for 10,000 books, plus the cost of transport, is NOT BAD at ALL.

Lone Wolf n' Cub is ok. Nothing right now, but give it a coupla years.

Again, I think it's more the later issues of Lone Wolf and Cub that are going to worth more since the print runs likely went down for the later issues. I've been piecing together a run when I find them in the bargain boxes, but I almost never come across issues from #35-45. As for demand, there could be some in the future but one drawback to the First Comics series was that the reprinting of the complete series was not finished when it was cancelled with issue #45

Speaking of, I had the chance to buy 10's of copies of Akira #35-38 for 25 cents each at Atlantis Fantasyworld in Santa Cruz around 96, 97...

and passed.

Sigh.

Yeah, that's a killer in retrospect, as well. I hardly ever see even the earlier issues of Akira in bargain boxes, although I did see a run of #1-33 at a Half Price Books once. I probably would have bought them except for the price stickers they placed on the cover of each one! :!:

If those are first prints, the magazine size issues from the mid 80's, they are still hot. We've talked about TMNT a lot on these boards, so I don't want to go too far off topic, but there's probably several threads in the other comics section of this board talking about some of the mile high prices that TMNT #1 1st print go for.

"those books", if they're first printings, are hot NOW.

If the TMNT books are 1st prints, I'd love to have them! I'd even double the price per book that you paid for them! :D

Seriously, if they're the real deal and you're willing to sell, let me know!

Best,
Doug

From a $400.00 deal Those books are some of the few that made the whole thing worthwhile. Thanks for the interest, but I'll keep them. Although,.... I will keep you in mind if I find myself in need of a dining room set!!!
