I like that, but it's tricky to get it to work... unless you use something like the Lost Land to get them together.

It could work, but most likely only from Rai's side as I don't see Ninjak mixing well with the futuristic setting.

Maybe Rai comes to the present through the Lost Land (think Turok and Aric but instead of being from the past he's from the future) and teams up with Ninjak.

Ninjak is woman born in the future around the same time as Rai.

My take is that both Rai and Ninjak is mantle passed down through the generations.
The feud between their families is a result of an incendent that starts in the 21st century and involves The Eternal Warrior, Ivar, Armstrong, Bloodshot, and Archer.

Turok, Captian Johner, and Dr. Eclispe are the ones in the Lost Land which ties into Shadowman being a zombie and why Solar is MIA.

What makes Ninjak important enough to be a legacy?

One cool thing about VALIANT legacies is that, unlike say DC's Flash, you didn't have different guys wearing the exact same suit or even name.

For example, Rai is Bloodshot's legacy, but other than the red circle on their chest they have nothing else in commun.

I'll conceede that the Rai lineage is the only legacy in which they all pretty much look the same.

My point is, if you had to recreate Ninjak in he 41st Century the same way Bloodshot was recreated as Rai, what would he look like? How would Ninjak 41st Century be different from Ninjak 21st Century?

Well first off you seem to be thinking more like follow-up or sequel and it's not. This my own personal fantasy re-imagining of the Valiant Universe and it's not supposed to be a sequel. Some rules are changed or
disguarded I mean come on:
The Spider-Aliens are good guys, Magnus is a villain, X-O Manowar is Confederate offer, Shadowman is a zombie, Solar is a woman, and
in my version there NO connection between Bloodshot and Rai.

Rai and Ninkak always seemed liked a great idea for a pair mismatched heroes to me. My idea is that Rai is sort like A Japanese Superman and Ninjak is sort of like Japanese Batwoman (Rai is a Samurai and Ninjak is a Ninja) they're flip sides of the same coin that don't agree on anything and their married a lot of drama and conflict is right there.

Now to answer your question about Ninjak popping up in 41st century:
There are several ways: she learns about Ninjak from historical archives
and adopts the identity of Ninjak to suit her own needs or she is a direct descendant from Ninjak, or a combo of both. There's also the possibility that Ninjak in the 41st century only thinks she is the descended from the present day Ninjak and her geneology could be fill of mistakes.

I get that, but my question is how would you make it work within the VALIANT continuity. I think the concept of the ninja and the samurai working together is great and I'd like to see Ninjak and Rai interact, just not a different version of them but the versions we already know.

I'm really sorry guys but I really didn't like Bloodshot, I like the fact that Bloodshot is a decendent of Rai and all. but the character was too missed managed. I would like to see Garth Ennis take on this character.

I would like to see an new Valiant universe with the original Pre-Unity Characters with a modern spin.

* Harbinger would have a "Heroes" spin
* Shadowman would be alittle darker, Mixing the elements of all three volumes giving it a "Constantine, the Movie" feel.
* Magnus would go back to its Gold Key roots. Maybe reprints of the originial stories with new art.
* X-O Manowar: Staying true to the original concept. A barbarian captured by spider aliens is enslaved for centuries only to start a revolt and escape with an experimental sentinent alien suit of armor. Instead of sending him to earth I would keep him in space to visit new worlds while trying to get back to earth. It would be a great series. Give his suit the ability to produce a melay weapon like a sword or axe with just a thought
and he can fight hordes of enemys like he did in the old days.

* it would be about the original Rai. Rai would stick to the future 4000 years in the future before Unity destroyed Japan. Make it like old Japanese samurai movies set in a futuristic world of technology and shivery.

In that case, start reading Vh2 Shadowman, it gets a lot darker.
