Harbinger: The Beginning - Diamond Distribution - Canceled?
Moderators: Daniel Jackson, greg

I'm very happy that they went to Valiant to get these! Once Valiant gets up and running I believe I'll be ordering all the new stuff through DCBS Subscription services!
This made me think, since these books are coming directly from VEI and cutting out the biggest middle-man, are they getting a bigger profit share (and thus being more successful) doing so?
I certianly hope so, so that the investors see that this is whole "bring back Valiant" is a good idea...!

so the original post from TWT (before he edited it) was order the book from amazon.com, not barnesandnoble.com. Any reason why? If you don't want to talk about it on here, PM me. As a person who did order from B&N, I'd like to know if I'm going to get the book or not...daydreamscomics wrote:i'd suggest ordering it through meTimeWillTell wrote:I would suggest ordering the book through amazon.com not barnesandnoble.com

No they did not. But the fact he said "purchased" in past tense makes me suspect that it will be fairly soon.Daniel Jackson wrote:Did they indicate how soon we can expect the book?tssgery wrote:Yup, I just got the same answer as well.thePike wrote:Just got this from DCBS:

1) have faith and confidence in VEI that they are working their hardest to make this work, given that a bomb was dropped on them three days ago. to be at the point they are now is quite a feat in my book.
2) have patience in getting these books. i don't see why everyone is making a big deal out of having to wait an extra week or two for something that we've all read before (other than the new story, which, if we've waited 10 years, what's another two weeks)
3) make sure your local retailer gets the info from VEI that they need to be able to place an order, and if they don't, make sure to report the store info to VEI so they can get in contact with your retailer.
we are all involved in this process whether we like it or not. we are the voice of valiant, so be heard!

Thank you for posting this. My heart sank earlier today when I'd read the news about Diamond dropping the book. I'll just have to wait untill October to read it, but at least I'll be getting a copy.thePike wrote:Just got this from DCBS:

I ordered 2 through Amazon and received them in less than 5 days. It was @36.00 for 2 shipped.
I do not see any valid reason for a comic store not to order this directly for a customer if they are willing to buy it anyway. Its clear it has something to do with the VEI vs VIP issue and it sounds to me that Diamond was the problem and not VEI. So it shouldn't affect ones view of VEI putting out books.
Oh, and I already read the HC.
