Given that Diamond probably just cancelled thousands of orders, I can't say I disagree.

Yes, that and the fact that the book isn't going out of print anytime soon that I'm aware of. :thumb:
Laugh all you want Greg. least you have one. What about those who pre-ordered or even pre-payed through their LCS's or on-line dealers? What about them? Now they have to get a refund and buy through someone else? What if they're out of stock?

Diamond dropped VEI for a reason.

Who's to say that other outlets wont drop them?

Then what?

If I go into my LCS on Wednesday and they do not have it VEI might lose a customer.

 Funny isn't it? :|
The way the valiant direct thing reads to me is that you don't have to do anything. Your LCS has to put in a new order with valiant now (instead of with diamond) and you get the book a week later or so.

I would suggest ordering the book through amazon.com if your LCS doesn't have it in stock.

It was 25% discount, so for the two HCs they charged me $37.42 ($18.71 for each).

As for shipping, they charged me $36.55 for an order of 65 comics, which included those two hcs, one from Marvel, and Previews (I mention that in case weight is an issue).

I'm worried about the long term repercussions.

What if the same thing happens with the next project? Getting VALIANT's going to become extremely difficult (which is ironic since today getting comics should be easier than it was 15 years ago), and for lots of people it won't be worth the trouble.

My laughter is related to the possibility that this book is going to be impossible to find.
Not hardly. This book is going to be available to anyone who wants one.

Less than cover price to buy one right now from Amazon.com including shipping.

There's one book, and it's readily available.

I'd say that Valiant fans aren't hurting at all... regardless of what some might want us to feel.

Hmmm... Before I order another one, I'm waiting to hear what DCBS.com is going to do. Ordered 2 with them...

Do we know whats causing this problem? Is it VIP? Did someone accidentially hit the delete button at Diamond? Did something fall through at VEI? Do we know anything relating to why?

Now would be a great time to see that VEI website up and running...

Yeah, it would be great to get some information right from the horses mouth before we find out from someone else second hand as usual.

I'm seriously dissapointed in hearing this.

It seems that the book was canceled from Diamond on Friday.

We are hearing about it THREE days later....When this happened IMOP we should have found out so we could answer the call and take other means of ordering it. Printing out the info for our retailer to order it through VEI.

Three days seems like time wasted to me...

Go baby!!! GO!!!

I, also, just sent an e-mail to DCBS.com pleading for them to try and get the book through VEI's distribution program. Maybe if all of us that have ordered request it, it'll hold more weight...

i think right now this is what we as valiant fans need to do:

1) have faith and confidence in VEI that they are working their hardest to make this work, given that a bomb was dropped on them three days ago. to be at the point they are now is quite a feat in my book.

2) have patience in getting these books. i don't see why everyone is making a big deal out of having to wait an extra week or two for something that we've all read before (other than the new story, which, if we've waited 10 years, what's another two weeks)

3) make sure your local retailer gets the info from VEI that they need to be able to place an order, and if they don't, make sure to report the store info to VEI so they can get in contact with your retailer.

we are all involved in this process whether we like it or not. we are the voice of valiant, so be heard!
