I dont see Turok necessary in the VU at all... what good is he? I mean, I enjoy the comic, but is he an important character? I dont think so...

A&A.. not necessary at this point, but it sure seemed like Archer was going to be a big someone someday.

At least that is what Im thinking as I type this.. my view may change

I don't think you can pick just five and say those five are the main characters because there are more than five main characters in the VU.

If I had to choose five though, here's how I'd break it down:
-Solar (he's #1---no debate)
-Magnus
-Rai/Bloodshot
-X-O
-Shadowman

Now, if you asked me who my five favorite Valiant characters were, you'd get a different list

Turok - Video Game coverage on N64 did a lot for this one, as well as original Gold Key
Magnus - Original Gold Key as well as early Valiant, amoung most popular
Solar - Same as Magnus
X-O - Was on Several Covers (more than any other VH1 character I'd wager) of several comic magazines. Crossover with Iron Man. etc, etc, etc
Shadowman - Video Game gave him some coverage, a few covers...

They are the most important to start a new begining while hitting all the important aspects of Valiant (The "future" titles can be added later)
