Harbinger #1 needs a price change?

Post by muzzsucker »

Some auctions for Harbinger #1 recently have been quite high, with the new collection the guide price might be out of date. It is currently at $27.

120148642968 $43
130143033443 $50
280138709939 $35 (this one came with #0 blue also)

thoughts?

Three auctions cannot be held to be definitive. I think the market for the book is turbulent and the only way to judge it is with a lot more sales and information from them.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I'd say it's closing in on ten single copies in a row that closed at least at 40.00 including shipping on the bay.

That is a more definitive number, ceratinly. What do you guys pay for shipping typically within the US?

A lot of sellers ship one comic in the 4.00 range, though certainly that varies.
I saw a Harbinger 1 in CGC 9.4 sell out of an eBay store about a month ago in the 60.00 range, which is up from the 40.00 range it had been selling at for quite awhile.
It should be interesting to see what the next slabbed copy brings. :hm:

Yep. And it's not only Harbinger. It's everything Valiant.

I think the demand for Valiant back issues may increase further when Valiant Entertainment puts out their next item, which hopefully won't be too long from now. :thumb:

i dunno...i think I got conned a little. I order a copy of ebay w/ coupon. The thing said it had some pock marks on the cover. When it arrived, it came as he said, but it also had an additional 1/3 tear on the spine :(. I paid 9 for it, plus the 3 shipping. I just want a decent one :(

Greg's guide price is still pretty close to accurate for a raw copy. I recall several copies selling for under $25 over the last several months.

With the crazy bidding that's been going on lately it's hard to determine where the medium is on some of the issues. Probably best to wait for and see how long it's going to last.
