Since this topic is 17 pages, it's pretty clear there might be some confusion
about "What's the deal with VALIANT?"

Thank you very much, gentlemen.betterthanezra wrote:There thats the connection.greg wrote:Do you want an answer?slym2none wrote:slym2none wrote:Where is Naperville, USA? 28 miles north of downtown Chicago.
Is there any possible connection to be made based on location?

Because you might ask Graham Crackers Comics.
The dealer when I found it said something about Graham Crackers when I got it. He said that while Lovitz delivered it to him it was Graham Crackers who made the ashcan FOR VIP...YES I remember him actually say Graham Cracker...
indeed.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

One point I'd like to make. You have all of these posts blasting these ashcans, this thread is 18 pages long. And all the while Lovitz LOVES the free advertizing this gives him and VIP.
You've essentially hyped this limited print ashcan and are feeding into the speculators hands the fact that this is a limited edition collectible.
AND its is a huge bit of free advertizing, all for what most people here consider the enemy. I'd delete any pictures of the ashcans on the site and not advertize that its for sale on ebay if you wanted to be more effective in this boycot.

While I agree with you many of those points I still think it's important to keep the pictures on-line because while it's not confusing to us....There is a general comic public that really isn't familier with Valiant.MProyas wrote:One point I'd like to make. I'm hosting the pictures at this point and I have NO intention of taking them down for that reason alone. There's only 100 of them and yes there are people out there that might buy them on Ebay but thats THERE choice.
At some point we should move this to a thread were you can see all the pictures like thumbnail style so you can see what the VIP versions look like just for information purposes....Thats not my call. That being said I respect you opinion.

We need to get the word out as a lot of fans are starting to take an interest again in Valiant since seeing the hardcover ads. A lot of them have questions that can be cleared up if we discuss what vip is doing and why it is bad for fans of Valiant. We realize this is also free publicity for vip, but hopefully people can at least make an informed decision on what they would rather have as the new Valiant.

ALL VIP IS ONLY GETTING BAD PRESS. That is the intent of this thread.MProyas wrote:One point I'd like to make. You have all of these posts blasting these ashcans, this thread is 18 pages long. And all the while Lovitz LOVES the free advertizing this gives him and VIP.

The conceptual sketches are a joke.
VIP IS NOT VALIANT. People reading this thread will understand that.

Since there has been little info on who owns what and who registered first and what secret was sold to the russians.
I like the art for art sake aspect of the ashcan.
And i thought Dino would put an ashcan out first but VIP beat them to the punch.
I will say VIP has put out something that shows artistic intent, good or bad.
And I likes my art.
Honestly, i think a peace pipe should be passed around and all this *SQUEE* can end and you guys can get the VALIANT books you deserve.
mac
Is the *SQUEE* in the peace pipe?

All I gotta say (and I admit this may not ring universal, but I am pointificating it anyways) Paris Hilton. That woman gets mostly bad press and it doesn't seem to put a dent in her wallet.Chuck wrote:ALL VIP IS ONLY GETTING BAD PRESS. Fact of the matter is press is press and all the speculator is reading is "low print run"
I hope I am wrong mind you.
