They also had a couple Harbinger #0 Pinks, but it looks like they both sold out quick. They had a NM copy and a VF copy. I didn't see the price on the NM one, but the VF copy was available for $20. The $10 copies of Harbinger #1 are VF copies. They even have a Fine copy for $6.25 if you want one cheap and don't mind a lower grade.

They're overpriced on just about everything they have in stock, though. $20 for a Rai #1, $15 for Solar #1. I'd be happy to sell my extra Rai and Solar #1's at those prices all day long!

Mile High is very unpredictable on books that included coupons/cards.

Even though they have a separate category for books "without card",
they rarely check the books that are supposedly "with card".

In the past I've received Harbingers without coupons,
even though they were supposed to have them...
and I've received Magnus issues "with cards".
That is, 3 of the 4 cards were in there... no coupon.

I've also heard of blue Harbinger 0's being sent instead of pink...
and regular issues instead of golds.

Bottom line...
Mile High's quality control on Valiant books isn't exactly 100%.
Sometimes everything's fine and the orders are perfect.
Sometimes they make an error IN your favor.
But sometimes you don't get what you pay for...
and return shipping can be such a hassle.

Mile High and The lost quailty control

I have ordered a number of books from them with moderate success. I just got some Shadowman Vol 2 and I got VOl 1 instead. They said they would take care of it if I send the other three books back. They ones they sent were crap not worth sending back.
Pain hurts!

Thanks for the heads up, actually thought about ordering a Harbinger 1 from them, didn't care if it was VF as long as the coupon was intact. Don't really want to deal with the problems of returning books, etc. as I have gone through this with the valiant coupon/card books with mycomicshop.com.

I'm curious to see how many Harb #1's Mile High got with this latest buying spree. They're out of #1's in VF now, I ordered 100, got 7.

How many did you all get?

They have a new code word ... THANKYOU ... that gets you 20 percent off.

I like Chuck, and he hasn't screwed me over yet so I buy from him every now and then. Guy's got a *SQUEE* beaver (a woodchuck maybe) or something on his web page, so he must be alright.

I've been wondering. There's a chain of hardware shops here called Woody. Their symbol is a beaver. Would an american make unintended interpretations from that?

Just got home from vacation tonight and received my package from Mile High. One of the Harby #1's was missing the coupon so that will be returned. Otherwise, I received three nice NM copies. Not thrilled that AGAIN I have to make a return to Mile High, but otherwise a nice deal.

They keep them in case they want to reread one. It wouldn't make sense to read one you've already read. I think.

Ahem.

So anyway, I also placed an order on Mile High this week. Can't wait to see if I get what I ordered.

Knightt_333 wrote:Quick question... what do you guys do with all those extra issues ?
just hoarding them like many of the others here. Harbinger #1 is one of the comics I can never have enough copies of and every time I can find copies at what I feel is an underpriced amount, I try to buy them.

Hoarding is good! I was just kidding before (well, not about the beaver) and I have a few things I hoard myself!
