There's really not anybody that I would by their work regardless of what it is. But Neil Gaiman comes the closest. There are certain names that would make me more likely to buy the book, but it really depends on subject matter, co-talent, pricing, etc.

Anything by Frank Miller (as a writer or artist) or Neil Gaiman. Will Eisner was on that list, but...well...you know. :(

Artist wise, Vatche Mavlian comes to mind. I absolutely love his art!

David Petersen may be on that list, but it's still pretty early on to know for sure. His Mouse Guard is incredible, both in storytelling and in the artwork. I'll know more after his second series.

Currently, I collect pretty much anything from the following creators as they release, and have been working on comprehensive collections of each for a good while now:

- Alan Davis (story or pencils)
- Mike Allred (story or pencils)
- Darwyn Cooke (story or pencils)
- Stan Sakai (story or pencils)
- Steve Rude
- Bruce Timm
- Mark Schultz

I'm also working on comprehensive collections of work by Jack Kirby (it'll never happen, but it's a fine goal), Alex Toth, Carl Barks, Don Rosa, Stan Sakai, etc. in original or reprint form.

Certain creators you would buy any book for?
:hm:

I think if just about any creator asked me to buy a book for them I would . . but they would have to pay me back . . .

I wouldn't make Sean Chen pay me back though . . . he has given us all penguin love and should get his comics free . . .

If Dave Sim did another book, I'd probably pick it up...

I used to be this way towards John Byrne until the quality of his work deteriorated (in my opinion).

:? What happened with John Byrne? Many of my favorite early non-Valiant books are JB related. Hard to believe his work ever deteriorated. Sad indeed if that is true.

Except for Valiant, Defiant, Bone, and a few things that board members have suggested, I've mostly been out of the hobby for 21 years. The only creator that really moves the needle for me anymore is Jim.

I guess these would be the creators that I am working on a collection of "everything they ever made". So far, this consists of BWS, Evan Dorkin, and Bob Burden.

The creator that I am most interested in following now is Brian K Vaughan. There used to be a few guys who's stuff I would check out just because it was them, like Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, Neil Gaiman, and Grant Morrison, and I still will to some degree. Usually this stuff just waits for trades. Other stuff I'll check out just because of the creator is stuff by them Jeff Smith and Michael Moore.

Jim Starlin he was the only reason I gave a damn about Unity 2000

Peter David can usally get me to buy a title about a character that I normally would not buy.

Alan Moore he's a great writer.

The film maker?
Way too many "Moore"s in the world. I meant Terry Moore, of Stranger's in Paradise fame.
