It's a pretty nice copy (9.0/9.2). It's definitely better than my other copy. This one has the standard vol 2 #1 interiors. I need to dig my other copy out because I could almost swear it has the retailer review interiors from vol 2 #1.

OK, so did all of the Bloodshot Yearbooks have a M. Bair sketch on the back? Or did I pick up something interesting??? The sketch is the only reason I got this...

You want comments? Looks like an original convention sketch. It was quite cool for you to have spotted it, as very few people would have even clicked on the listing.slym2none wrote:Here's the pic of the back cover from the auction - I am still looking for comments about this.slym2none wrote:OK, so did all of the Bloodshot Yearbooks have a M. Hell, I'd like to narrow my collection down to 1 or 2 football fields.MedicAR wrote:If you figure out how to do that, PM me!superman-prime wrote:picked up the turner b/w cover of civil war 2 and 4 for 32 bones this week, along with a rai 3 for 10![]()

I was driving down the street last weekend and glanced through the window of a comic shop filled with people. Being the nosy guy I am, I took the next U turn and discover the comic shop (Lee's Comics in San Mateo and its sister store in Mountain View, Ca.) had a .25 cent sale with maybe 30 long boxes, give or take.
I was a little late in the game because it was late afternoon so I didn't get first pickins'. I did manage to get a few Valiants (Solar 10 first print, Harbingers w/ coupons), some Miller Daredevils, Thor 337, a few older pre-mid 80's Marvels and some other odds and ends. I did see stuff some 2nd Vol. Acclaim books, Marvel Transformers and G.I. Joe comics. Here's just a few that I grabbed. No Harbinger#1's, Action Comics 1's or Amazing Fantasy 15's but kinda cool none the less.

One guy had two long boxes which I wish I could have peeked in. I saw a few D.C.s dating back to the 70's it looked like and a Marvel book that said "still only 25!" Well the early bird got the worm there.

Man, I haven't been to Lee's in years. Were they just getting rid of their stock?

From my understanding, I think they buy peoples collections and look through everything for the real gems then price them accordingly. Everything else they just shove in the quarter bins. I'm not sure if they do that yearly or throughout the year. The guy at the counter told me they were just holding on to these for a while.Chuck wrote:Nicekikitwitme wrote:I was driving down the street last weekend and glanced through the window of a comic shop filled with people. Seeing that you were a hop, skip and a jump away from Lee's Comics Chuck, its a too bad you didn't go.

Went to the comic shop today to buy Green Lantern Sinestro Corps Special 2nd print (I missed out on the 1st print), and they were sold out. Bummer. I go up to the counter to pay for the some other books (Astounding Wolfman, Criminal, Green Lantern, & Thor) and ask the owner if he'll be getting in more Sinestor Corps. Then, he goes to a bin behind the counter and tells me he has a first print a subscriber had returned. Sold it to me for cover price.
