Do you mutter under you breath whilst doing so, such as:

Beloved comic, give unto me your bounteous art...

or

Oh, fickle conveyor of art and story that may vary wildly from issue to issue, how I love thee...

or maybe

Oh comic, oh comic, shall I compare thee to a DVD....?

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the comics out of these hard plastic looking things to EVEN be able to read them. :P

You have to do it alphabetically.

First, buy a copy of Action Comics #1 in one of those hard plastic looking things.

Then, break it open with a hammer.

Read it, and toss it aside like yesterday's newspaper.

Then, buy a copy of Action Comics #2 in one of those hard plastic looking things.

etc.

By the time you get to Archer & Armstrong #0 (alphabetically), you will be ready to enjoy Valiant comics. :thumb:

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Surely not. I'm sure that Greg would also be very willing to accept these excess Action Comics issues to prevent these books from clutterring Rico's coffee table. Just looking out for his bro thats all. :P

I never really worry about how I read them. I don't try to damage them, but I certainly don't any precautions.

Actually, one of my favorite comics is my Fathom #9. A friend of mine borrowed the whole run because she's a Turner fan and she got 1-5 back to me the same day I lent them to her. Three weeks later she sheepishly tells me that she knocked a glass of water onto the books and spent Spring Break stopping at shops to replace the damaged books, but no one had the #9 variant cover. So she hands me a heavily water-damaged copy of this. I thought it made the comic even better.

The link's just a stock image #9's cover. It's just there because if you don't know what the issue looks like, the story doesn't make sense.

When, I get the ACTUAL chance to read a real book, like a comic book, and NOT a Medical text / journal / magazine. I am v e r y careful in getting the comic out of it's storage box, out of it sleeve. hold it gently, as this is NOT a aformentioned medical literature. Admire the cover art work, admire the first page, and then reveal in enjoying the whole comic. Then that leads to enjoyin' the livin' s--- out of it. BECAUSE its not a Medical Bokk... WooHoo!!!!!! :thumb:
