Re: MOB
I took a chance on a zero feedback seller with some great EC Comics. I came out, among others, with a Fine copy of Weird Science-Fantasy #29 (Frazetta cover). I really jump-started my ECs for a relative song!Zero wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

Heh - I remember one time, at the beach over summer with one of my buddies, it was raining out and his grandpa came in, saw our long faces, and said, "C'mon, we'll go get some colouring books so you can draw dicks and *SQUEE* on the elephants and giraffes."
I have never laughed so hard in my life...

The seller's last name is SHOOTER and they offered me the option to have Jim Shooter sign it if I won. Signs point to a relative of some sort.
Despite the language stating that this is the last one, can we be sure that is the truth, or are there more to come?
The buyer of the first one reports that the comic was NOT in Mint or even Near Mint condition as advertised, more like an 8.5-9.0 due to spine stresses. He left a positive feedback nonetheless. I hope the second buyer feels they got a good deal on a book that is probably in slightly worse condition than the first, or no better than VF....
I would be upset if I paid that much and didn't get it in NM at least.

It was cool to actually see a copy in person at wizard world Chicago a couple weeks back. That was the first time I've ever seen MOB, Shadowman GBU and the mini Shadowman Vol. 3 promo.Knightt wrote:That is what I thought, but things work in crazy ways.dellamorte wrote:*SQUEE*. Do you know if it was board member Mr. V's table where you saw these? I know he had the latter two, but he didn't have the MOB on display when I saw him at a few of the Milw/Chi shows. He's one of the only sellers I've ever seen that puts a lot of obscure VALIANT items on his display wall.dellamorte wrote:It was cool to actually see a copy in person at wizard world Chicago a couple weeks back.
