1 to read, 1 to keep sealed and 1 to burn later in case the print run gets too big. Wait that doesn't make sens-- :?

Man, it's gone. I was going to order it from them too. I waited too long, again. I'm going have to find some other means right away.
Oh well..... Procrastinators unite!!!!! tomorrow....
If you drop them an email, they might still order you one. They accept late orders at the original discount normally!
They may have even ordered a few extras. They sure had a great price on it.

FYI, I've contacted to a Magic cards shop with comic books. I got them ordered me 2 copies already.

1 copy is for read and other one is for stored, only if it's wrapped/polybagged.

Good deal, but they might not reply till after the weekend is over. I had a question for them a few weeks ago and it took awhile to get a response. 2 or 3 days if I remember correctly.

UPDATE:
DCBS got back to me and said the Harbinger HC is still available for pre-order. The price is $13.72 plus $5.95 shipping. Just contact them, they do respond rather quickly, even on Saturday. The easiest way to order it right now is to use an attached Excel order form they email you. If anyone wants the form, feel free to PM me and I'll send you the file or just head over to their site. From there you can fill it out and they automatically create an account for you once you send in your order.
Thanks guys for pointing this site out and advising me to contact them!

I was going to order from them and saw it was gone...

HOWEVER....

It's now up on Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Harbinger-Beginni ... 669&sr=8-1

It's $16.47 but Amazon has FREE SHIPPING for order $25 or more...and it usually comes pretty quick even though its free. My recommendation? Spend 8 more dollars...get another TPB...and get two for $25.

But hey...that's just me.

Now that Amazon has it the books would be 45 cents cheaper if you ordered two from them vs DCBS so either way is about the same.

Did you see the part of Ryan's article where it said that the new story is incorporated into the hc and not an insert?

Aren't you at all interested in reading it?
Am I interested in the read the new one-shot short story that'll be less than 8 pages? Absolutely.

Am I interested in paying $25 (or a few dollars less with discount) just to read it? Nope. Not at all.

Maybe it'll get put online like other publishers do with their short stories they tack on to trades (since they know most people who loyally followed the actual issues aren't going buy the same story twice just for a five page story). Maybe I'll pick it up for cheap at a later date. Maybe I'll win one in that contest they've got going on. Maybe I'll just never get a chance to read it. It happens. Not real worried about it.

Isn't it a little counterproductive to hope that you'll be able to pick it up for cheap later?

Shouldn't we instead expect it to raise in value as a sign of people's interest in it?

It's the good ol' supply and demand. The more it cost it means more people want it and there's not enough to go around.

I don't question that he's a fan, I just think that he lacks faith on VEI's chances in the market.

I thought his point was that he doesn't want to pay $16-25 USD for just 8 pages of story, possibly already having Harbinger 07 anyway, and therefore not particluraly wanting to get the story again effectively.

:hm: Does the fact that Amazon now offer it as a preorder effect the expected print run for the HC since the cut-off date for distributor preorders has passed?
