I just picked up Wizard #17 and also Wizard beginning of the Valiant era, neither sealed.....are these desirable?

If niether are sealed I would say "no." I don't even believe the standard #17 sealed to be desirable sealed. The platinum version of the #17 along with the Valiant Era special sealed are moderately desirable. The most important, though, would be the gold bordered #17. It's pretty tough to come by. Hope this helps. ~Erskine

I would never pay top dollar for them, but if I ever found old Wizards featuring Valiant, I think I would pay at least...one dollar to read about those days of Valiant old. Hmmm....maybe 75 cents....I'm a cheapskate...hmmm...maybe someone should just scan the old Wizard/Valiant stuff and make a torrent.

I thank you kind sir. I've been away tending to my family & taking a couple night classes to work towards my degree. Things have finally started to slow down for me. So, hopefully I'll be around here a bit more often. ~Erskine
