As much as I would love to start my valiant back up now, I think I will have to wait until the new year. Or maybe even at tax time next year. I hate that I had to sell my stuff to begin with. Was getting so damn close to a full reading set. Think I had a little over 600. A reading set is what? 700 or so? The sacrifices we make for our families. All you fathers know what I mean. Before my daughter was born I was struggling. I do ok now but no way I can spend any money on this kind of stuff yet. Not in big chunks anyways. Most I can spare in any given month is maybe $20. Maybe. Anywho, enough ranting. Sad part is by the time I get the money together next year prices will be so jacked up. :( Going to take forever to get a set back together. I have the whole set on cd but I havent even touched them since before I sold my comics. It's just not the same.

End Rant.

I do have to say with every passing month the future looks brighter and brighter. I started from nothing the first time and got around 600 in less than a year with alot of help from several members on here. I've said it before and I will say it again. This is a wonderful place. Once you fumble through the first few noob mistakes like I did it turns out to be a great experience. Once I get my comics back in order they arent leaving. I won't be having any more children. I have job security. My bills are the same every month. Makes it real easy to plan ahead. Can't wait until tax time.

I sit here browsing ebay for valiant stuff. I see auctions for 1 cent with no bids. Great. Guy has 30 valiant auctions with 3-4 comics in each one. Original shipping is 5.75 and .75 for each additional win. So in theory if I won all 30 it would be 27.50 for roughly 100 comics. That's just the shipping. That does not sound right. You can send how many in a priority box?

I bought a UK auction of books that cost me about 25 quid on shipping. The reality was it probably cost them half that to ship. Gouging is not good IMHO.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

Wait, is "quid" pound or pence?

I used to know this off the top of my head...

Or am I thinking of quim? :P

Now if you have a quim on top of your head, well...I'd be concerned if I were you. Very concerned...

Pound, in answer to question.

Ok. So life has turned around since I wrote the first post. If life stays on track I should be able to start putting money down next month for comics. Starting christmas shopping early to. Never seem to have enough money in December. Shorter list this year. Won't be buying for my sister and her husband and my brother and his wife. Allready know what mom, dad, and grandma are getting. Dad is gettin some of Dawgs BBQ sauce. Mom is gettin a dvd set and so is grandma. Couple old shows that they really like. GF is doing all the shopping for kids.
