I think I have 3 or 4 of those and didn't pay over $3 for any (maybe not even total)...

Yeah, there was a time you get them pretty cheap. I suppose that will change with all the insane bidding that's been going on lately.

I thought this auction looked familiar.

Okay, everybody doesn't need to bid at once here.
(Back on page 99)

Now it's half price!

This is why I tread near EBay very cautiously.

I'm always so tempted to email these sellers and show them they are full of *SQUEE*. I've done it a few times very passive-agressively. ;-)

Not VALIANT, but shameful none the less.

Look at the pic in this auction.

And again in this auction

See the serial number?

On top of that some of the guys at the CGC board wrote and asked about it, he told them it was a CGC 7.8 and that he had mistyped his auction!

I wrote and asked and he said the book was his. I told him I'd heard he had claimed this book to be a 7.8 (a non-existent grade) and that I'd reported him to eBay and the FBI Internet Crimes Division and guess what? His auction was gone in four minutes.

Can anybody tell me what this clown is doing?

Auction #1

Auction #2

Auction #3

And it goes on and on.....

He has 43 current auctions. All in the gallery. None with pictures. He has made 208 sales to 17 brand new eBayers, only 3 of which have ever bought anything from another seller and that was only 1 item apiece.

Why would anyone do this? They're junk books, overpriced, he's getting robbed on eBay fees......

None of it makes sense! :!:

Look quick, though. I just reported his sorry *SQUEE* to eBay!

Rather tenuous evidence for reporting to eBay. Like you said, they are making more than their fair share off this fool on eBay fees.

Think he might be building up his feedback? Maybe he really really wants that light blue star.

Check out the sellers purchases:

It's like buying feedback :hm:

As for his auctions...
It could've been the seller's intent to do the same thing to get positive feedback as a seller, but the seller priced the X-force comic at $9.99 instead of $0.01 (his ad did mention, " we are practially giving away here for next to nothing") :hm:

I think you're right. What a shame ebay lets people clutter up it's servers with nonsense like that.

Completely off the normal fare for auctions on the boards.

Here is waht I know of this auction the 360 is not an Elite, it is refurbished, it comes with no games, no extras of any kind, and most important of all........
Unless I tripped and fell through a tear in the time-space continuum it is not November 22, 2005.
Two bidders have forced this thing through the roof of reasonable pricing and I have no idea why.

If anyone spots anything different let me know.

And why is their a picture from some kid's birthday party on the bottom?
