What an awesome sight. Did you find them at shops or did you buy them off of ebay?

Hmm... I wonder how many people here have actually gotten one from an LCS? The ones in my area were burnt out on Valiant by this time and didn't order near enough to get the CEAR. I've had mine for years now, but I had to email a ton of dealers before I found one. They were just not popping up on ebay at the time. The X-O 1/2 Gold is another one I had to search and search for at the time.

When I started buying up pre-unities, late issues and premiums I pulled a couple of CEARs and 6 or so Unity Reds from LCSs. They had more of these than Harby 0 pinks for some odd reason. Unfortunately, all of my copies are long gone now - I sold them during the high prices of 2003 or so when aug002 and a few other big spenders were buying. I wish I had held on to some of them and sold more of others!

Other than VALIANTS, this is what else I hoard. I'm pretty sure there's no one else out there with 5 of these.

Sure there is. But, CGC was forced to invent a new "Sharpie Label", and licensing on that was a major bear. :thumb:

I got one for $.65 from a LCS about 4 years ago...

Very cool, Woogie. I seem to remember Bro J saying he got one for cheap like that as well.

I'd definitely go pick that up, Frank. And chainnball will make you a fair offer on it, he was the runner-up bidder on the one I just sold.
Much appreciated, btw.

Actually, "hoarding" wouldn't be the best term. I've been saving up to 30 copies to hand out to some kids at a Kids Crusade that we are holding the end of this summer. It's a fun, "safe" movie. We will be handing these out with some lessons to tie in with it.

I used to have 3 and 4 copies of certain issues, but when I sold some of my comics off because I needed money, they went too. I wouldn't be opposed to hoarding some issues if I can get a good deal on them. :)
