BTW, I got all those when another board member whom I won't name (Zero) used them as packing material for a single comic he was sending me.

I've got enough to cover a coffee table, but I need some more materials and time. And the rest I was going to do some kind of sick fan project, like get a homeless insane person to remark and sign the chromium cutouts.
I think I've still got a little more than 1,000 Turok 1s left over.

'Pluto, I'll send you as many as you need. Just let me know... :thumb:

I am not actively, nor ever was actively collecting that book. It's purely inadvertant that I have that many.
Wait, are you saying you spend $33 on Turok #1?!?!
I bought all the Valiants a comic shop here local had several years ago. The deal the guy gave me was .03 cents a book for any & all his Valiants & Acclaims. The deal was that I had to take them all though. There were a bunch of early & late run books (I remember something like 20 copies of Solar 3). I bought 'em all... I just didn't know he had 3 long boxes & a short box all full of Turok 1 in the back... :o There's also about 500 Turok 2s if anybody wants them? In all I think I bought 13 long boxes of Valiants from the guy. I know I spent between $150 & $200 with tax & he charged me $4.00 each for the actual long boxes he put the books in. The wife freaked out on me when I got home, but she has since gotten over it.

Horder by defult :thumb:
that's a great story, dude :thumb:

I'm just wondering, did you get enough pre-Unitys to offset the cost?
(the 20-Solar #3s are easily worth about 50 bucks)

I was actively hording Solar #1, but have since stopped. I'll get 'em now only if they're really really cheap. I think i've got about 8.

Turok #2 sounds like a VfVSS in the making, Pete!

:thumb:

My hoard is anything reasonably priced that escapes the vulture-like eyes of this crowd, and pre-Unity Rais. I had a *SQUEE*-load of them before, but between giving away a few and selling some, I am down to no more than 10 issues of each. There's a pic of my hoard on here somewhere before the cutting...

I'm not insane or homeless, but I'll remark them all for you...... I do it on my student's history folders all the time .....
That's a deal, if you're sure you're up for it.

I'll do it..... shoot me a PM...... (I am not joking)
I am so in for that project !!!

Well, I buy Solar pretty often in an attempt to put together 3 complete 9.6 or better sets. That probably fits the definition of hoarding but since I'm two books from my goal I'll be unloading the excess here or on ebay very soon. All total I have enough Solar to assemble around 17 complete VH1 runs and 14 VH2 runs.

I wouldn't turn down an opportunity to post it, now, would I... :D

Those are pretty much all sold and/or slabbed now, so no hoarding over here... :P

I wish I had a scanner that worked or knew somebody who had a good one. I'd post the spread of 20 Bloodshot #1 I got for 3 bucks. Or the 6 copies of HArbinger 7 I've gotten for a total of 4. Of course, that is better than the 30 Superman 75 in Blackbag that I once had.

I knew that at some point I would stop likeing this thread, and now it's official. I need both of these and would do just about anything for one of each. I am with Dr. Solar, if any of you hoarders decide to unload some of your stash let me know. I will be on board.

Don't worry, I will get you one of each (although I think I am out of H0 pinks, I do have a Magnus 0 for you)

Think about how much money these pre-Unitys were worth before the 90s comic bust :o
