I like the Neal Adams Batman run for a couple reasons:

1. Post 1970, one would be hard pressed to find another artist/character combo that has such a balance of significance and dopeness (I'm assuming you mean Detective as well)

2. They are rather easy to find, supply is not really and issue. For the dollars you can find any of them and rather conveniently.

I'm not share what you grade standards, but in my upcoming cull, I may be wanting to move a CC 9.0 of #222 (Beatles knock-off issue). Only reason is because I have what looks to be a raw 9.4. (which incidently one has gone for (what I thought) was a rather high prices lately)

3. Batman is the Gotti of all Comic characters.
Matthew 19:26 Retconned, huh?
In Wayne I trust.
Jay, I haven't picked up any only Bats in years, but you are slowly making me a convert. ;-)

I'm gonna be 9.2 and I above I reckon...and they gotta be CGC graded. I don't buy anything ASM #300 and older raw from ebay

I had a typo - the one I will be looking to move is a CGC 9.0. - the 9.4 raw is the one I'm keeping.
OK...how much you want for the CGC 9.0?

In that grade $200 give or take (Usually the latter) $20 for that issue
OK...how much you want for the CGC 9.0? Laughing
Interestingly enough, 2 weeks ago I was going to say $100 (which is about average according to GPA - slightly less actually) - but I have started to see some interest in the issue in slightly higher grades so I am going to be with some interest on other sales in the next month or so before I cut down some of my comics.

Maybe Beatles fans are waking up!
I'd say thats a pretty fair price and a pretty accurate statement :thumb:

I haven't seen a copy of that book anywhere in over 10 years! It's one of my "grail find" books if it ever happens. ;-)

I think you guys are getting your "Gobbledygooks" mixed up. Jay made sure he put the 1986 date in there, meaning it's the very common version, not the rare one with the first appearance of the Turtles in an ad.

Not the same Gobbledygook.

That one (1986) is the easy one to find.

It's cool, I figured these guys might have been confused because I don't think they would be getting excited about a book you can buy at Mile High for $1.80. :o

There are a couple of moderns that I always buy slabs of - Painted Spectre covers, TMT appearances, Grendel, Azreal/Azbats related stuff, some random Bolland covers (Wonder Woman etc ) - I guess you could put VALIANT in that group as well. I also tend to buy copies of Transformers#19 (Omega Supreme cover)

I really can't explain why, but 'dumb' probably enters the equation somewhere.
You buy what you like, nothing wrong with that. I keep buying cheap copies of Dr. Strange #62 in NM because I think the story about the final destruction of vampires in the Marvel Universe is just very cool. It will probably never be worth anything, since I'm sure all the vampires have probably come back 20 times since, but I like it.

Yeah, for some reason I always think TMNT got their start in 1986 or so.

It's a thrill only us comic geeks can appreciate when we finally get a "grail book" that we've been after for years!
