Thanks to Slym for the set of Spider-Man newspaper reprints!!
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Yesterday, I received a great package from sckao. Now this goes all the way back to an Ebay purchase that he did not too long ago for two copies of Unity Diamond TPB #1. From what I understand, sckao already has a copy of this book but went ahead and picked these up...

And why did he do this ?
sckao wrote:I bought it to help Knightt out actually...
So, I get the package in, I was thinking 'man, this is a big box for a Unity Diamond TPB' and once I get it open, I also find at least 25 Atlas books that I was needing for my Atlas collection. Not only was I surprised with them but the quality of all of the books was WAY better than the books that I have in my Atlas collection. I mean these books are in GREAT shape.

So, I just want to say it here on the boards...

Thank you, sckao !!! You ROCK, man !!!

No problem. Those Unity Diamonds turned out to be a great deal just for the one (much less the second copy.) I don't know what you think of your copy, but my copy is pretty much perfect. :thumb:

I actually didn't own one of those beforehand so it seemed like a good way to kill two birds with one stone.

The Atlas/Seaboard issues are actually my undercopies (for some of them I have 3-4 copies.) For others, I found out I only have one copy unfortunately. Enjoy :thumb:

Evil. EVIL. EVIL!
Yes, sckao that was a pretty good deal, I thougth you had already owned a copy, my bad. So, that worked out even better... for both of us. :thumb: As far as the copy you gave me ? There was a bit of smudging on the upper right hand front cover but a little spit and a washcloth took care of that. So what I am saying is, I think that my copy is in GREAT condition. And the one thing about this is that I now have the Unity Diamond TPBs #1 AND #2 (as part of a recent trade). These are two books I thought that I would NEVER get as they are CRAZY expensive.

Now the only books that I am needing are:

Eternal Warrior #27 VVSS
CEAR
The Visitor vs The Valiant Universe ($2.50 variant) #1 and #2
Destroyer ($2.50 variant) #0

So I am down to FIVE books to be at 100%... I never thought I would get this far and so close to being at an actual 100%.

And Stu, as far at being hooked on Atlas... it was svair that got me hooked onto those. He had offered to send a few my way, I said 'SURE, what is ANOTHER Dead Universe to collect'. And when I got them, I read a few and really noticed the 'ads' in the books and I remembered them from my childhood. Well I got ALL nostalgic and read all the issues that he sent me in one sitting that night... and I was hooked. I remember having at least Targitt and The Destroyer from when I was a kid and like I said, I just got all nostalgic. Same thing happened last night... I was checking those books out, and it hit me all over again. It's great.

The stories are 'not all that great' but there is just something about them... I have never seen any of the magazines so I can't comment on them. I considered not collecting the magazine but you know me, all you have to do is mention a DU, and I am probably going to collect it. LOL

Big kudos go out to hulk181man... got a nice package with a few Valiant Voices that I didnt have, the final issue of El Cazador (CG) that I was needing and the Deathmate Previews edition STILL WRAPPED the way it was distributed years ago. THANKS... got something coming back atcha (ahem, now that I have your address from the package... hahahaha)

Thanks...

Also, I failed to mention but depluto sent me out copies of the Valiant fan club newsletter, which I didnt know existed and I forgot to mention it. Those things are pretty cool.

Thanks to all... (hoping not to drool over my recent CEAR gain)

So my list now falls to this:

Eternal Warrior #27 VVSS
The Visitor vs The VALIANT Universe ($2.50 variant) #1 and #2
Destroyer ($2.50 variant) #0

Four books (loud crashing thunder) four books until I am at 100% (more crashing thunder and the chitter of bats)

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

(todays post was brought to you by the letters T and A)

Here are some quick kudos for ya !!!

THANK YOU JEDIMARLEY FOR THE PRIME #1 SIGNED. OH AND THE VISITOR VS THE VALIANT UNIVERSE #1 ($2.50 VARIANT).

The list is just getting smaller to the incredible generousity of this message board. I think that this now brings me down to only 3 books (and a haunting question of whether or not to go after the Valiant Voices now or not, THANKS TO HULK181MAN GRRRRRRRRRRRR  )

Seriously though... thanks Frank.

Frank, (jedimarley)

You are 100% a class act. I can't thank you enough. I'm sure it won't be the last time your name appears in this thread. I am very happy and it has taken a special place in my collection.

Thanks again,
