Free Comic Book MONTH...
Yeah Yeah Yeah, it's free comic book month. All through March, and in March only, you can get a free copy of my first comic book CELLS.

CELLS was my critically-acclaimed Xeric award-winning mini-comic that's out-sold almost every other project of mine. It was translated into French, and on 2 separate occasions it was almost made into a live-action short film. I know I know, ALMOST doesn't count for much; but they were my brushes with the film world and it was pretty dang cool at the time. I even wrote the screenplay myself... but that's another story. The story YOU need to concern yourself with is this: CELLS, the story of 2 inmates shoved into a little prison cell who don't get along all that well... until it's too late.
So, all you gots to do is send me ONE DOLLAR to cover my postage and envelope costs; either through Paypal (via scott@scottmills.net) or to me directly (I'm at 10700 Academy Road NE #1112 Albuquerque, NM 87111), and I'll send YOU one free autographed copy of CELLS.

Don't miss out. Next to BIG CLAY POT, CELLS seems to be everyone's favorite comic of mine. Go figure. I thought TRENCHES was kick-*SQUEE*, and THE MASTERPLAN is my personal favorite. Of course, no one read THE MASTERPLAN, so what difference does it make? I guess it was too minimal-looking to be mainstream, but too sci-fi/genre to be indie. Or maybe it was too expensive. Or maybe no one knew about it. Or maybe no one cares. Or maybe it just sucks. I can't win. God, I hate myself.
But I LOVE comics. So I'll keep making 'em. Comics rock!

Paypal eats 33 cents of the first dollar, 30 cents + 2.9% in the US, leaving him 67 cents. Payments outside the US get charged an additional 1%. The easy way to handle that would be to send an additional 35 cents (it's a couple cents more for $1.35) yourself to cover the fee.greg wrote:Scott, the "ONE DOLLAR" offer sounds good to me...
Does PayPal eat the whole dollar in fees? (Is anything left for postage?)
But, if Scott has a personal account, they charge him nothing. The drawback, of course, is that you cannot use a credit card, only your bank account or Paypal balance....which doesn't really matter, because the credit card is really only fraud protection, and Scott's not gonna defraud anyone.

Yeah, I end up with 67 cents when I'm paypaled. It just covers the postage, which is usually about 60 cents or so. I told everyone a dollar, so I'll stand by it; but if anyone throws an extra quarter in there I wouldn't turn it away.
Response to this has been CRAZY. It was just a whim that I put this thing together. As well as CELLS has sold over the years (it's one of the best-selling mini-comics of all time) I had A LOT of them printed when I got the Xeric grant. Which means I still have A LOT of boxes of CELLS comics in my closet.
I just thought it'd be a nice little promo/special for people to give my stuff a chance. I should add that I've been enclosing some nifty promo stuff and SEAMONSTERS & SUPERHEROES black and white stickers in there as well.

Most comic stores have a copy or two. But the quickest easiest way may be through Amazon.

They probably have a few inexpensive used copies as well.
