*SOLD* SCARCE Valiant/Diamond/Previews UNITY TPB 1&2 on
I am in the middle of putting money together for an upcoming marriage. I just put these books up on ebay. They are just about the most scarce books put out by the company and are in great condition (#1 is VF/NM and #2 is VF/NM). I have stellar feedback at ebay. See them for yourselves and good luck:

Re: Rare VALIANT/Diamond Previews UNITY TPB Ponderings
I think you should sell them to me directly... the going rate is about $10 each but I'd pay $20Fred Chamberlain wrote:I am amazed that I was able to dig up a complete 2 volume set of the rare signed UNITY tpb's that VALIANT gave out to retailers back during their heyday. I am no longer a VALIANT diehard since I enjoyed the company at time, but am in the middle of putting money together for an upcoming marriage. I am considering putting these books up on ebay. They are just about the most scarce books put out by the company and are in great condition (#1 is nm/m and #2 is vf/nm). I have stellar feedback at ebay and actually sold one of these a year or two ago. My delema is do I post them right now or give it a few months? Last year, someone here suggested larger scans, so I have hooked up with andale imaging. Here are the scans:

Any thoughts or feedback is welcome.

Seriously though, depending on how soon you need the money, you might want to wait until tax return time. Many people are watching their spending after Xmas, but tend to be more able to spend around April.
Just my 2 cents

I'm guess/hoping that they go for over a $100.00 a piece. I will post another thread to let everyone know when they go up. Thanks for the feedback.

I certainly could do that. I hadn't even thought of it and had no idea that it was considered proper ettiquite.... not really any need for an eye roll. Shouldn't you edit your post? It comes arcoss as condescending.Squirrel wrote:Just a thought...shouldn't you give a plug to Valiantcomics.com for using the info you found here (used in your auctions)? It's nice to credit your source of info..just a thought

Condecending isn't the intention.. but, I think its the first thing I would add after I cut and paste the info I didnt write myself. I do it in all my auctions that I use others refrences. I do it on my own web site that has won awards, major press, etc. It's just a ethical thing I presume.Fred Chamberlain wrote:I certainly could do that. Don't start a flame, I hate messgae board battles. Sorry, there was no intension of any disrespect. Just would like to see Greg get a 'nod' for the work he did to make that info even available for you to use.
Good Luck on the sale of those books, they are nice

I am a private seller, but have always used my own wording when selling stuff on ebay. I hadn't even thought about referencing, though it seems very reasonable and appropriate in retrospect. Funny thing is, is that I am a professional counselor and consider myself extremely mindful of thics.... live and learn.

Thanks. So far, so good, though the fiance gets pretty fixated on the details and the anxiety is already rising dispite the fact that it isn't happening until September.

Did you win "Joe Bob's Cool Site Of The Day" too!?!?!? Make sure you put that big graphic right there at the top of your page! And maybe some blinking text just to make sure people see it!Squirrel wrote:I do it on my own web site that has won awards, major press, etc. It's just a ethical thing I presume.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Dude, that's my day job.cobra_commander wrote:Fred always gets a tough time on the boards when he sells stuff. First about the pics, now about referencing the source. I think he's going to move into selling a less demanding field soon...like arms dealer
The paperwork is much worse than any hard time we can give him.

....3 days to go. Tons of views, a surprising amount of watchers and, from the looks of it, a bunch of people waiting to snipe at the end of the auction . Should prove an interesting infale, true believe..... um, sorry, wrong fanbase.
