I recently rescued a Chaos Effect Omega Gold from a dealer's back issue bins at a UK comic show. The price I paid was £1.25 (just under $3.00 USD roughly). The book's cover has a few creases down the spine (interior seems fine) - worth the bother as I have a regular edition of the book already? Or should I have just watched out for a really pristine copy elsewhere?
No big loss for £1.25 GBP, but the point is whether I should just concentrate on the obviously mint, or try and resuce the not so mint on the way?
Also, I have a few other golds (and a pink!) in my growing collection - any advice to avoid the general obsessiveness experienced by many regarding these books?
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month
I probably would have done the same considering that there's only a 5000 print run of that book. Maybe someone on the boards here might be missing that gold book and doesn't care about the condition.
I would concentrate on getting nice copies for your collection if its important to you but if it doesn't cost you much a vf copy is always good for a trade etc.
I would of, I'd rather HAVE the book then NOT have it. I'm not a condition freak, more of a completist. So, like someone else said. you could flip it here on the boards.......I dont have that book yet
