The unsung gold...Ninjak #1

Post by Shakespeare »

I'd say this is perhaps the most underappreciated of all the golds...after all, it was made with a completely different method than the regular issue was, and it was made with a process that Valiant never used again.

Thoughts?

It's kind of a glimmering chromium, like those Topps refractor cards. It's one of my favorites for that reason. I'm shallow like that.

I agree, just because it's one of the coolest covers ever!

I never cared much for the Ninjak chromium myself. Love the Quesada art though.

I'm a big fan of Quesada's Ninjak, but wasn't that big a fan of the cover to #1. Just didn't do it for me. Loved the interiors, though.

yep love the look of Ninjak.... unfortunately, the story wasnt one that I particularly liked..

So it was an Image artist, doing Valiant house style (which was very cool).. ..with Image stye story on the inside..???? Thats what I was feeling :D

Oh yeah, regarding the cover... cool.. but a bit too flashy... wait, wasnt PsiLords the same way?? Have to go check now..

DEFINITELY enjoy Quesada's work on Ninjak. I own the promo art to the series, but the cover to #1 wasn't my favorite. I really liked the cover to #3 and #2.

Yea, I'd have to disagree with that statment. I don't recall Joe Q ever working for Image. His art was far superior to the craptacular work of Image artists (except Jim Lee).
