Eternal Warrior Gold Flat
Hi,
just found this site by pure accident and I'm glad I did! Didn't think anyone cared about Valiant anymore.
Back in '9I, I got pulled into the Valiant Universe. I loved the stories and the characters and grabbed up many of the available titles.
Fast forward to 2004. My 10 yr old has just developed an interest in comics and like a good dad, I turned him on to Valiant Comics
While pulling out issues for him to read, I was reminded of what I had collected. I have several copies of #1's and some 0's for Archer & Armstrong, XO Man-O-War and Harbinger along with 15 copies of Eternal Warrior #1 Gold Flat.
I'm going to put some books up on ebay, if anyone is interested, I'm willing to sell a few copies of EW Gold#1 as well as Harbinger 2-7 w/coupons.
I also have a question about the comic grading I see people talking about. Since I have so many copies of EWGold#1, would it make since to have them CG graded? If so, how do I go about it and much does it cost?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wrote this up in a pm to Dino, and I thought I'd share....

I have had one gold flat CGCd, and got a 9.4. It's in my box if you look closely. I just got my second gold embossed 9.8 back. They must have used a heavier stock paper for the cover on that one. I'm probably going to keep both 9.8s, since one is Green labeled, signed by shooter.
The CGC yellow label series thing is pretty cool. They usually span a wide range of grades on the books. You're paying for the third party verification of the sig first, and the grade second. So even 8.0s would be like $20 books. (IMO)
No, what we do to avoid that is we get 75 and have the books pre-screened at 9.6, and then we have the ones that pass signed first. Hopefully we get 50.
Finding 75 gold flats will be the real trick...
I'm going to be raising some money next week. I should have a bunch of auctions up wednesday and Thursday. Should help me finance the books.
I wish we could flush the hundreds of copies of HC #1 gold someone knows about in Loisiana and have Lee sign those for a sig series. Much easier than buying 50 copies 1 at a time..
---------
If Greg gets on board, I will start soliciting for Gold flats from board members. They should have a realistic chance at a CGC 9.4, at least. And we'll all have to troll ebay and the online shops for them.
