Dude... no way..... when I met him and his wife in NYC earlier this year, there is no way I ever thought I'd be hearing news such as this.

All my condolences to his family and wife... this is such a shock, I am crushed.

I agree with Vault in retiring 37. Could someone provide me a d.o.b. to d.o.d. for Trent, please. I'd like to create a graphic in memorium to him.

 Horrible news... Trent was a great guy! I feel fortunate to have met him in NY.

VK's ideas are great as are Cin's. I agree we should do something to show our appreciation for what he meant to this community as well as to let his family know they are not alone in their grief...

 This is a shock - I am at a complete loss for words - our VF family has suffered a great loss - My thoughts and prayers are with the whole Collins family - Trent was one of the truly great guys around here and this place will not be the same - my heart dropped when I saw that post - what a sad day in the Valiant community - I agree with retireing#37 and I will happily donate for anything we can do for Trent's family - farewell good friend and godspeed
I will miss you Chicken Man - :(

I also think that the first new VALIANT comic be dedicated to his memory. It really breaks me up that he didn't live to see the rebirth of the new VALIANT.---Steve

i know we've just started the secret santa thread but in light of things i'd like to suggest that in lieu of gifts for ourselves we investigate setting up something so we can donate to trent's family in his memory.

anyone who wants to keep with the tradition of exchanging gifts among board members is more then welcome to but speaking for myself i'd rather see anything coming to me to be given to make sure trent's family has something for the holidays.

what do you guys think?

i'm totally willing to skip getting something for myself in order that there's a little something for the collins family this christmas.
these are great ideas guys. i fully support them and will do what i can to help out.

Wow. I missed this earlier today. I caught it on oldjello's avatar just now. I'd had to scroll right earlier and didn't see the avs. Neither here nor there....just rambling I guess beacause I really don't know what to say.

Thanks to everyone for the condolences, I will be sure to pass them on to Trent's family....

Also, a Big Thanks to all the thoughts and prayers from posters on The Rob Liefeld, John Byrne, Lyria and Digital Webbing boards...

I've talked it over with those involved in Trent's Batman commission, and we have come up with the following

1- Anthony's inked piece will be sent to Judy, so it can be placed with Trent.
2- Mike wants to finish coloring his piece and have this framed and presented to Judy
3- We are looking at making prints of the colored version and accepting a donation for each for Trent's family.

I am just picking up on this through someones signature panel in another thread. I got to spend some time with Trent in NYC in April, seems like such a short time ago.

I don't really know what to say this is so shocking. My condolences to his family and those close to him.

We've lost a great fan, but more importantly, a good honest man. As we continue our journey we learn to appreciate how rare it is to come by such people.

I am deeply saddened by Trent's passing... :(

I thought he was a helluva nice guy even before I met him in NY earlier this year. I really don't know what else to say... :(

Rest in peace Trent - you will be greatly missed by myself and the rest of the ValiantFans.com community.

Chris

P.S. I am most definately in on anything anyone wants to do as far as a flower arrangement for the funeral as well as anything that would be done for Judy and his other family members.

The man was one hell of a decent, fun loving son of a *SQUEE*. It's just not right.

I'm going to miss him tremendously.

Such a damn shame.

God bless, pal.
