HOW TO MAKE MONEY LIKE A PORN STAR

(shameless plug...)
<img src="http://www.bernardchang.com/pornstarcov ... front2.jpg" alt="my new book">
hey all,

just wanted to let everyone know that my new graphic novel is out in stores TODAY! it's called HOW TO MAKE MONEY LIKE A PORN STAR and is written by neil strauss and published by reganbooks (harpercollins). it is reganbooks' first venture into the graphic novel business and this has allowed our book to be sold at regular brick-and-mortar stores like barnes and nobles and boarders. it is also available on amazon (which offers it for the greatest discount).

for the image-conscious, it's a parody of the porn industry but the artwork is rated from "pg-13" to "r", but not "xxx". i would liken it to "boogey nights" meets "sin city". nothing gratuitous, but definitely not for the kids.

for a free preview, you can sign up at http://www.howtomakemoneylikeapornstar.com

if you buy a copy in the first week (which we are pushing for people to do), we are offering a bunch of incentives including screensavers and tips from neil based on his nytimes bestselling book, the game, where he turned himself from an average person into the world's best pick up artist (i've got work in that book, too).

and for the valiant comics connection, there are art cameos by sean chen (x-o, bloodshot), john paul leon (bloodshot covers), gregg schigiel (no Valiant connection but went to the same elementary school as me) and mark moretti (eternal warrior and ninjak).

thanks for your support in advance!

Hey BC, looks good! Were Ron Jeremy or Peter North consulted on this? Let me know when you do "How To Make Money Like A Comic Geek", and I'll be first in line to buy one. :thumb:---Steve

Your art style seems to have changed judging by the cover, looks a little more cartoony (not necessarily a bad thing, just different). I really enjoyed your VALIANT stuff, loved the quite delicate lines. Is this a conscious decision for this graphic novel, or part of an ongoing evolution of your style?
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

This is looking pretty good Bernard. I'll definitely look for it next time I'm in B&N.

Good luck with it!

thanks for all the kind words.

yes, my style has evolved a bit since valiant. i'd like to think i got a little wiser and older. but inside the book, i play with various styles, including even a manga-esque (after range murata), when chronicling the teenage years of claudia corvette (main character).

that's great news. it should be in comic book stores today, or you can order it online at amazon (for a nice discount).

here's a bonus wallpaper from the book. (note: artwork is of the mature and offensive nature).
