He's definitely in the latest one I got with Lobo on the cover. And he's in there about once a month but the exact issues are so hard to remember :hm:
try and flex that brain of yours and remember (oh that's right, cc was always the fall guy because everyone else always outsmarted him)
Sure thing genius. Whatever you say. I'm sure you got the biggest brain in the whole world. Why don't you PM me and let me know what Podunk University you went to and how much money you're pulling down now and we'll see who's outsmarted who. Loser.

whoa guys... before this gets out of hand, lets just sit back for a minute and let things cool down. Both of you say 'sorry' shake hands and go back to your corners. This is a good thread and I would hate to see it thrown into TO.

Deal ?

(and hey, I don't usually play mediator so please help me out on this one)

Uh, CC, I think THM was talking about the character in the cartoon, not you.

Then again, you could just be setting up a damn good one and I may have just messed it up.

Aww, you guys are awesome. :thumb:

I apologise for everything I said in my previous post TarHeel but please dude, don't reply to any of my posts again unless you got something nice to say. I won't post anything derogatory about you on the boards even if you do but its just kind of sad.

CC, I’m not attacking you but I feel like I need to point out that you can’t apologize and then say but don’t reply to my posts again . . .

It makes your apology seem kind of disingenuous.

It’s fine to correct someone (that’s actually helpful) or disagree with someone and the back and forth you guys were doing seemed actually playful at first. Maybe I’m reading with the wrong inflection but I don’t think tarheel was being serious. He seemed to be being a pain in the butt to you but I don’t see where you feel like you were personally attacked ? ?

99% of the people here are friendly so if you feel attacked, make sure you don’t have the person wrong, jump the gun and strike to kill. Probably they are just busting your hump.

cc, i was talking about the character not you. i am not like some other members here that go out of there way to attack other members ( i know you and I both have better things to do).

my response to your original thread was that metzer wrote identity crisis, but not all star superman (morrison writes that)

i am all about friendly banter and thats it.

fully....

what is crazy to me is that NBC can offer to give away 5 million $$$$... no one got the 5 mill.... but they did give away $700,000 a few days ago... seriously.... that is a grip of money....

one thing that bothers me about the show is.... it does seem a bit scripted.... just a bit.... (also all of the contestants wear only plain colored shirts.... all of them....no stripes, no patterns... nothing.... it's like they tell them what to wear... so if they tell them what to wear.... what else do they tell them.... )

but... I have to admit .... it is interesting.....

Got to talk to Valiantman about that one...maybe Greg can do an award for best boardmember here. Prize? a cool VALIANT CGC? A plaque would be cool too with the VF.com logo. :hm:

Requirement, promote the heck out of the website or VALIANT.

Hey guys, before I ask this, please note that I haven't read the whole thread and quite frankly don't have the time to do so.

Here is my question, and also note that I don't really read much DC other than this so I don't know what 52 is:

In the newest Green Lantern, it appears that it's "revealed" that the GL's are keeping Superboy Prime imprisoned in a red sun construct. In response to this the little blue GL guys make note at the end that action is in order because of the actions of Cyborg Superman and the Manhunters. They all unanimously call for "52".

Is this a reveal that the Guardians of Oa are the facilitators of this event somehow, and not only that, but what is it, why is it relevent and why did they break the third wall in the story by mentioning it by name?

That is a good question that has not been brought up. Some of the more educated 52 readers will have to answer that one. Although Superboy Prime has been imprisoned since the end of IC #7.

I'm not reading GL, but here's how it was explained in IC:

At the end of Infinite Crisis, almost everyone thinks Superboy Prime is dead (at least that's how I understand it). The Guardians have imprisoned him inside a red sun and have a large group of GLs who watch him constantly. Of course, he vows to escape in the end.

As far as the 52, DC's been dropping hints about that all along. The "missing" year is missing 52 seconds. Also, Red Tornado's last words before he was destroyed were 52. Rip Hunter's blackboard in his lab had 52 written all over it.

Of course, I doubt that the Guardians would be behind 52 if they were just talking about starting now. The regular DC books are One Year Later, of course.
