Half-Life 2 - GREAT voice acting, stunning graphics and so far very nice gameplay and intriguing plot. GREAT facial expressions on all characters.
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 - ho hum graphics but a very nice interface with a new twist on 'situational awareness'. At least it is 'fun' to play... whoo boy can those WWII Joes cuss.

I'm playing F.E.A.R.
Going up in this elevator.
The lights flicker on and off.
I see that little girl appear in the corner.
She is looking at me.
The lights flicker on and off.
She is gone.
I stop playing.

Just finished Lego Star Wars in time for the second game to be released next month. I'll definitely pick this one up. Thankfully, it's going to be on all platforms.

So did you just beat Lego SW or did you get 100%? Nothings better than blasting through levels using Jango's duel tea cups and Maul's double sided broom

It was fun searching around for all the hidden pieces and getting all the Jedi tokens to unlock the hidden level. A couple of them were really tough to get all of the tokens because of the waves of enemies swarming all over you while you're trying to get collect them. I finally made it though. I think Yoda was my favorite character, he can really kick some butt.Todd Luck wrote:Actually it comes out in 15 days 11 hours and 24 minutes according to it's websiteDaniel Jackson wrote:Just finished Lego Star Wars in time for the second game to be released next month. Yeah it's great because it does take effort and skill to find unlock/everything but it's a feat that most players should be able to eventually do. I'm still waiting to replay the last few levels with my wife to unlock all the mini-canisters on the file we're playing through together.Daniel Jackson wrote:It was fun searching around for all the hidden pieces and getting all the Jedi tokens to unlock the hidden level. The parking lot battles never get old. It's great to switch with a CPU character that's in a fight so the other CPU characters will attack you (until you die).
Currently, I've still got Midway Arcade in my X-Box. It's great to turn on a game and be able to get into some major action within a few seconds and be able accomplish something within 5 to 15 minute (just like Lego SW) I usually give Paperboy at least one try a week (I can only get to Friday on the game, it's very HARD to beat) and then I play SpyHunter or Satan's Hollow because after losing my last life by smashing into a stray cat (or something equally humilating) I really need to shoot something

I've been playing Dead Rising ... great concept for an M game (a mall filled with zombies; use whatever is available to dispatch them).
But it just gets tedious ... the story is pretty spare and you have to spend more time than you want chopping down wave after wave of zombies. Save points are a pain in the *SQUEE* to access, too.
Not bad, but not that great. It's gruesome enough that my wife will leave the room when I'm playing.

That is a great pure shooter. It's nice that you never have trouble finding ammo or guns, and you just shoot everything. Those street levels where you blast all the windows out of the skyscrapers and then hear the shards hitting the street ... yeeeha!
