The Artist's Choice

Including every page from Ninjak #1 ! Figured I'd let this board know - now to find my copies of those Ninjaks and figure out what pages were great. None of the prices are to obscene either.

If it weren't water damaged... I'd buy it. Of course, it probably wouldn't be $300 though

I've always liked painkiller jane, but $1000-$3000 for a cover is about 10x my budget.

I wonder how "slight" the water damage is...?

Hmmmm all of the pages that I recently was in negotiations (a few months ago) with Joe to purchase... in which Spencer Beck showed his 'true colors' and screwed the whole thing up.... the cheatin' bastich (Beck I mean).

There was a lot of artwork that got water damage at the Valiant offices from a broken pipe. I have a few Turok pages with damage on the bottom edge. It may have gotten damged at the same time. It looks really good in the scan though. $300 was a great price.

Almost looks like Calafiore's style. It's nice.

Water damage shouldn't make such a big impact on the price. Congrats to whoever got it. Let's just hope he's not told that the price was a mistake and has to pay more.

The Ninjak prices seem a bit optimistic. We'll see. The scans are not linked to the right page numbers btw.

These prices are MUCH higher than I was initially offered earlier this year if you remember.

Huge proposed purchase that went bad...

This is because Beck is an idiot... I sat down with him on the phone one night and went through PAGE BY PAGE of what he had to confirm exactly which page was which and from what issue.

I think it has sold. :(

If it was just water - restoration cleaning would have done the trick.

I looked at some of the Ninjak stuff. Why are the non-inked pages more expensive than the inked ones? Makes no sense. :hm:

I *CANNOT* imagine paying THAT much money for a non-inked draft of Wolverine #1. Even IF I had that much money to burn. Dream on, dream boy.

Again... BECK... idiot.

These look to be the copied pages of the art that you often see OVER the inked art. It is just a photo copy but BECK... idiot has failed to just turn that photocopied page over and scan the real art.

Tell 'ya what Chris, you definitely convinced me not to deal with the "idiot." :thumb:

Last thing I need is a "deal" with a shady dude.
