If these go well, plan on seeing the Pre-Unity Solar, Magnus, Rai, Shadowman and X-O books for next year. :hope:

I wonder if someone will manage the whole set? :o

New auctions are up.

Stu donated the Harbinger books with custom backerboard art and also donated the Green Lantern books that are already skyrocketing in price (I think, I honestly do not know enough about older books).

ALSO the original art for the VfVSS 'freebie' is up for auction:

Honestly, I sat there for quite a while before I listed this auction. It will be hard to let this one go.... it is simply one of the coolest painted pieces that I have ever seen and has a HUGE emotional impact on me considering how this great project was put together, the work that went into it from JOHN ROSAS (svair), Sean Chen, Anthony Castrillo and Mike McGuire. When I first opened it up and saw the raw version for the first time... I had to wait to call John so I wouldnt get choked up on the phone. So this piece means a lot to me and I want to than Byrneout, svair, Carolyn and Christopher Rosas, the whole Valiant crew, Stu, Greg, KC, slym, comickings, jedi, , Melissa and Marley, dsire50, tcolli, unblessed, second death, SnotDrip, and a whole slew of folks that I am forgetting.

I gave a cursary glance at our CF totals (what has been auctioned off, what has not yet been paid for as auctions are still going etc) and Valiantfans.com is responsible for over $20,000 in donations this year to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

$20,000

This message board is TRULY unique and powerful in what it can do.

Thank you... everyone. Thank you...

oh yeah, I just put this up for auction as well.

Personally, it was my pleasure to help out, CS. From the VfVSS stuff to your great auctions, to just the final "push" donation, it's all been WELL worth it.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

We need something like that to start every year. :hope:

The grand finale CF set of auctions are now over (with the exception of the CEAR which ends tomorrow) as are all of the auctions. Tonights auctions ended at an incredible $1,436 (and the CEAR is at $76 now).

$1,436 in ONE week (with at least $76 to go... ) !!!! To have weeks like that EVERY week huh ?

Man oh man, you guys did great this week and with some OUTSTANDING bids on all of the pieces (jedimarley whoo hoo... BY THE WAY, jedimarley was the guy who donated the Harbinger #0 pink in question, so the guy donated $288 bucks for his own book plus the GREAT backerboard art from Stu !!!)

Everything went GREAT this week... and I want to THANK YOU guys !!!

So, now what remains is to get folks to donate for their final items, gather up promised donations within the community (I am taking off Tues-Fri in preparation for the walk and donation gathering), getting a few more things mailed out and counting the donations. I will give as a complete report as I can on Saturday evening along with a few photos of the walk.

THANK YOU EVERYONE !!!

Thank you and well done. You're enthusiasm is the driving force behind those fantastic items that were donated for the auctions. The head-start Ric set up must have been a great inspiration as well. I especially love how you got so many from the comic book community to help out (I love your Neal Adams story). You have again shown what can be accomplished and taken one step closer to finding the cure.
