21 is kind of hard to find Jedi. First hellboy. But the rest of them you can find cheap most of the time.cobra_commander wrote:Haven't started yet. I'll keep you posted...jedimarley wrote:How it this?? Good read??cobra_commander wrote:Also got Next Men 1-20 recently for around $12
I see these sets really cheap and have been thinking of getting them.
There an OK read. Jhon Byrns.

I have to agree.....after this he was NEVER the same. I used to sought after his work....His Fantastic Four run was AMAZING.MagnusRF wrote:I liked Next Men back in the day, but I'm a Byrne fan. He's declined recently, but I'd say Next Men is probably the end of what I consider his "good" stuff.

I just picked up a boatload of his FF at that dollar booth in San Diego.betterthanezra wrote:I have to agree.....after this he was NEVER the same. I'm after his Epic Illustrated run now with the "Last Galactus Story"
Cobra Com, let me look around, I may have an extra #21. It's probably F/VF, but if it fills in a gap in your reading, it's all good, right?dac55 wrote:21 is kind of hard to find Jedi. First hellboy. Ya know, Lobo was a really good character until they turned him into a parody of himself.cobra_commander wrote:Just got the 1st appearance of LOBO. Cool man its the 90's again!
Lobo and the Punisher are what started me down the comic collecting road.

Lobo's costume in his first appearence looks like the one that that two headed He-man badguy wore on the vintage toy...
If I remember correctly, he had a punching action that when you used it, he'd hit his other head in the face.... LMAO.
Now I want the 1st App of Lobo. And of Deadpool, and all of these other characters we've suddenly started talking about.

It is quite lame - whoever did his "makeover" hopefully got a raise.IMJ wrote:Lobo's costume in his first appearence looks like the one that that two headed He-man badguy wore on the vintage toy...

That's the bug biting - I was reading about Deadpool and momentarily wished I hadn't sold off his first two LS's..... they were such fun reads! Now I want the 1st App of Lobo. And of Deadpool, and all of these other characters we've suddenly started talking about.

I think a lot of that credit has to go to Simon Bisley. Visually it was very much his characterslym2none wrote:It is quite lame - whoever did his "makeover" hopefully got a raise.
