Both. I purchased duplicate copies of each issue to keep one set with the coupons intact.

I didn't get into Valiant until post Unity. I am still working on getting those early issues. However, I did buy 2 sets of the issues with the Valiant Era 2 cards. 1 I cut and redemmed, while the other I kept intact.

I cut out the coupons & cards out of the Magnus books to display with my VALIANT card collection.
They were dupes and in lower grade so I didn't feel too bad about it.
Removing the BWS card out of a Magnus 0 was hard to do however.

If I recall correctly, each coupon had it's own individual serial number printed on it so that multiple photocopies of the same coupon were useless. I'll see if I can dig out some old issues tonight and verify this.
