Who redeemed the coupons?

Post by Daniel Jackson »

Just curious how many of us clipped the coupons back in the day and sent away for Harby Pink and Magnus #0? It was torture cutting them out btw....

I did for the Harb, not for the Magnus (bought it from Kingpin fairly cheap).

By the time I became a VALIANT collector, those Magnus and Harbinger issues were way too expensive to cut up or remove the coupon. :o

were the Magnus and Harbinger books pre-printed for a certain number, or did they print them per how many coupons were redeemed? Just curious how many of them slipped out of the office, without and redeeming being done.....

Too difficult for me to get all the comics back then in the first place to even have the option to cut them up...

I did however cut the ever-loving *squee* out of turok #1. Stuck the pictures all over my school folders and stuff

I cut out the coupons & cards out of the Magnus books to display with my VALIANT card collection.
They were dupes and in lower grade so I didn't feel too bad about it.
Removing the BWS card out of a Magnus 0 was hard to do however.

Never clipped any coupopns, and had to buy my "0's" on the aftermarket (or got it as a Christmas gift - thanks, Mom!)

:thumb:

What does the card in Magnus #0 look like? Mine does not have a card... and I'm debating whether or not I really need the issue with the card. I'm not a purist-completionist, but my VALIANT focus is so narrow, why not, right???

I got one copy of the Magnus 0 with the coupons, I got 3 copies of the Pink with the coupons, I would have gotten 2 more pinks but I couldn't find any Harby 4's. I don't remember what went on the week Harby 4 came out, whether some other big issue that the speculators were on came out that week or what, but Harby 4's were very hard to come by.
I am selling "nothing" on ebay-yet.

I redeemed my brothers and said his comics never had them.

Ditto, I think I vaguely remember seeing this before, but it's still very cool.
